Chuck You says he has bipartisan support for reversing the DOGE cuts and even increasing levels of some programs.

I'm sure he does. Some Republicans were getting kick backs from those funds/programs also. My thought has always been that there are around 5-10% of honest politicians.
well all of these bipartisan supporters should identify where the money is coming from to pay for these programs. A lot of the supporters are are the front of the line to complain about budget deficits and the increasing debt

I agree with this. It will probably be the ICE scam.

Prediction: by the summer of 2026, the dems will refuse to talk about the economy and try to push some other issue for the midterms. I doubt defunding the police...I mean ICE.. will be a major issue either. Epstein will be a non issue. Fraud will definitely not be an issue that they talk about. That leaves maybe healthcare, or gov spending for the dems unless Trump handles those as as well. They might be left to run on abortion and trans everything again.

I’ve been racking my brain trying to understand what, exactly, the modern Democrat Party offers the American voter. And I’m genuinely asking. I’ve tried to remove my bias, step outside myself, and look at this from a neutral perspective…but I still can’t figure it out.

Mass amnesty does nothing for the average American.
Higher taxes to subsidize millions of illegal migrants do nothing for the average American.
Releasing violent repeat offenders back onto the streets and then gaslighting the public about “restorative justice” does nothing but hurt the average American.

Homeless “initiatives” that burn billions w no accountability help no one except the nonprofits running the grift. Our schools are a nightmare, discipline is gone, standards keep dropping, and parents who speak up are smeared as extremists.

Then look at everything else:

• Energy policies that make everyday life more expensive, from gas to groceries
• DEI hiring that values ideology over competence- in medicine, aviation, law, and government…and somehow we’re all supposed to pretend this makes our country stronger.
• Child gender experiments that would have been illegal a decade ago, now framed as “healthcare,” w lifelong consequences we’re not allowed to question.
• Massive taxpayer fraud, whether it’s homeless nonprofits, childcare programs, Medicaid mills, unemployment theft, or “migrant emergency funding” that mysteriously vanishes into thin air.
• Open borders that flood working class communities with costs, crime, and competition for jobs and housing.

And even the two systems that were meant to help struggling Americans, healthcare and welfare, have become catastrophic liabilities.

• Endless welfare expansions w zero accountability. A safety net is good, but Democrats turned it into a political bribe… it is a system of permanent dependence instead of temporary stability.

• Healthcare subsidies that were supposed to make coverage affordable… but ended up raising premiums for everyone not on a government plan. The average family now pays more for healthcare than rent. How is that helping voters?

Every solution creates three new problems, none of which they ever fix.

So what is the upside for the average American voter? What are Democrat voters actually getting in return for their loyalty?

Because from where I’m standing, the only people winning under Democrat policies are:
➤ bureaucrats
➤ illegals
➤ activists
➤ NGOs
➤ government contractors
➤ and politicians who create chaos and then fundraise off the damage.

Everyone else pays the price.

Democrats saw the Virginia messaging model work and now they’re replicating it nationwide.

Run on kitchen table issues - affordability, lowering crime, and fiscal sanity.

Then once elected, pass dozens of new taxes, reduce penalties for rapists and murderers, and give illegal aliens de facto immunity.

A true bait and switch.

Democrat led Washington state just raised taxes.

Democrat led Virginia just raised taxes.

Mamdani is planning to raise property taxes 10%, which would bring Class 1 homes to a staggering 30% tax rate

Democrat led Oregon voted to eliminate multiple tax deductions for citizens.

Government loving simps keep voting for Democrats to tax them into oblivion, and it’s pathetic.

It depends on what polls you look at and how the poll questions are asked.

Trump certainly seems to be underwater right now but so are most democrats. The house is likely to go democrat next year because people are frustrated and want change. It doesn't mean that the democrats have a better plan.

90% of what @TigerGrowls posts on here from twatter is garbage that he does bother to check for any truth.

He is stuck in a never ending echo chamber of pro trump lies.
well, if we're fair, there are quite a few who seem to be stuck in the echo chamber of anti trump misinformation

Not everything Trump does/says is good, and conversely, not all is bad.

There are people on both sides who get news from Twitter and post it here. And there is no doubt these social media sites are curating your news based on what you are preconditioned to prefer.

Most people do some level of fact-checking before posting **** here. Growls does none. Zero. Zilch.

Personally, I opt not to post things from social media. Now, if I see a story on social media and fact-check it from a more reputable source, I might share it.

As a general rule, if something starts with "Democrats are terrified after..." or "Democrats are in a panic after..." it is ********. The same goes for those headlines about Trump.

again, being fair, you don't have to go to Twitter to get flawed news....go to Fox...right slant: Ms NOW...left slant...on and on. The current algorithm seems to be opinionated news versus just news...

To be honest, I really didn't have growls in mind when I wrote that..my only point, obviously not made well, was that readers have to take everything they read, hear or watch with a grain of salt these days.

I do look at things from both sides ...guilty as charged. And part of the reason for that is simply that reading stories on the same topic can come across 180degrees differently depending on where it's published. Posters on here, and we all know who, can be counted on seeing things from red lenses and others who see the same exact thing through blue lenses. Problem for me is that most things can't be categorized as black or white, some can, but most, no.

First time I have ever seen the word "bothsidesism". I like it !!

Ned. Respectfully, the problem is not you. There is a large grey area in life that many on here have not really, really been forced to live in, make decisions in, and then have to move on from. Those that speak the most vehemently, understand the least. The problem is theirs.

Rate hikes were under Youngkin

The rate hikes approved in November 2025 were decided by the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC), an independent regulatory body, during Governor Glenn Youngkin's administration .The SCC issued its final order on November 25, 2025, in Dominion Energy Virginia's 2025 biennial review case. This approved a partial base rate increase, allowing Dominion to recover additional revenue of about $565.7 million in 2026 and $209.9 million in 2027 (far less than the $822 million + $345 million Dominion originally requested). For a typical residential customer (using around 1,000 kWh/month):
  • Monthly bills rise by an average of $11.24 starting January 1, 2026.
  • An additional $2.36 increase follows in 2027 (totaling about $13.60 over two years, or roughly 9% overall).

My wife called the midterms for republicans last night. I am a little more on the fence but she didn't hesitate. I'll have to talk with her and get her to tell me why but, it's a good sign. I've learned over the last 29 years and 360 days to not discount her stock picks or other opinions when she drops them of the blue. It doesn't happen often but she's like Kate Smith singing God Bless America before a Philadelphia Flyers games in the '70s, her win percentage is pretty darn good.

Does she have any thoughts on Clemson making the NCAA tournament?

I doubt it. She doesn't follow basketball. But her stock picks are crazy. Sits down on the couch at night to watch TV and one night she says, "uranium, we need to buy something to do wth uranium and nuclear power" ... this was like a year and a half ago. so after missing out on some other tips i did some research and bought a bunch of related stocks... good move. Then, as trump ramped up the tariff stuff she said "aluminum or stuff like that should do well" and gave me a couple company names... I picked one and it's been a rocket ride. lol. I don't question any longer. I just execute.

Edit: I bought $CENX Century Aluminum. Bouncing around and volitile at the momement after a very very nice run. I probably should take some profits here.

She must be counting on Trump's mafia corruptly meddling in every facet of the election, which looks more and more likely, otherwise no chance.

It'd be nice if some of you Pubs would call him out instead of sitting on your hands while he blatantly fvcks with our democracy, because winning the midterms should not be more important than the integrity of our institutions.

No lol. That's funny as hell. Its more of a feeling that she has. She use the term "silent majority".

She believes that most people see all the anti ICE ******** for what it is. ********. Just like the the St. George Floyd Riots, the performative BLM stuff, Pronoun mania, etc.

I found it interesting that she also mentioned, "Trans" as well. She thought (as did I ) that force feeding america the trans agenda was a very big deal going into the last election. She thinks that its getting resurrected as an issue in the minds of every day america given all the recent shootings.
She isn't by any stretch thinking "landslide" or "red wave" just that overall people are starting to see results on illegal immigration and the economy, and the dems only tactic is to be anti everything all the time, and not promote better ideas.

Yeah well, it's definitely feelings because the special elections since Nov. 2024 and all the polling say just the opposite. In fact, since polling began, he's the most unpopular president in history, now surpassing his unpopularity in his first term. Recent polling from the friendlist Trump pollster, Rasmussen, shows that Americans now believe Biden was a better president than Trump by 8 points and one this week shows if they could re-do the 2024 election, Kamala wins by 8 points LOL. And yet another poll shows that 40% of Americans think he's the worst president of all-time.

1771515532273.png
Sounds like your wife is projecting her own feelings about what will happen, not based on reality and/or what the rest of America feels.

I always laugh at the so called "forcing of the trans agenda" nonsense when the left never talks about it at all, including on this board. What's being forced is culture war garbage by accounts like LibsofTikTok who go to great lengths to find the worst examples to highlight, so it feels like it's being spread when in reality the majority of us don't spend a minute of our day thinking about it.

So I repeat, it will be a wipeout unless he corruptly meddles with it which looks certain right now. That should concern everyone.

Same- I rarely post from social media EVER because it's mostly rage bait/propaganda.

Fact checking should be the standard for everyone, and anything that seems outrageous, typically is skewed/fake.

How people on this board on both sides (and in the nation at large) don't care to check their sources for veracity and/or clear propaganda is insane to me.

Media literacy is dead and it's sad af. Probably how we got here tbh

you hit on part of the problem. I doubt our MSM does much true fact checking. As we've discussed many , many times, you can find just about any fact to support your preordained bias if you look hard enough. Just look at the debate over voter ID.m Or how about "trump is racist".. We have the minority leader of the Senate calling out "Jim Crow 2.0", and black residents of DC singing the praises of Trump.

AHHHHHH run for the hills!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure if Barron Trump is just lying to you like all of the other twatter trolls you post on here or if he is an idiot. But no tax on tips does NOT mean $25K back in your pocket. It means that $25K of your income will not be taxed. So it ends up being about $2500 back in your pocket.

Under trump that is a steak dinner and one month's energy bill.
well, I agree with your first point, but if you're paying $2500 for a steak dinner and one month's energy bill, you need to turn out the lights when you leave the room and maybe cut buck to a 16 oz cut of meat
