Well, you have evidence of dead children, raped children, cannibalization, child traficking, influence peddling. Several people have resigned from government positions, several people have resigned from public positions, and several people have been arrested. But no one in the United States has been arrested? It certainly seems like something the government would like to go away. What better way to get something to go away than to change the news cycle?
Now, i don't necessarily believe that is what's going on. However, it is a plausible scenario and it should be called out as a possibilty. The Epstein files have some damning information in them and we don't even have half the files it sounds like.
Personally, I don't think it's ok for the CIA or Israel to run a child prostitution ring as part of a government honeypot operation. I don't think that is OK and I think people should be held accountable. It's also fair to point out that Israel was the probably running the operation and they are also the ones helping attack Iran. Correlation does not equal causation, but it's certainly fair to point it out in my opinion. People can decide for themselves.

Our founding ideals were avoiding conflict, and promoting isolationism and self-reliance (well, except for the Southern states, who couldn't hack it ... so ... slaves). And having a small standing army, because reliance on the military was to be feared, not glorified and promoted.
Right now, we have the most "government control" we've ever had, with a POTUS who is habitually violating the Constitution (which, apparently, is useless as a governing document, under your version of "founding ideals").
And choosing not to dehumanize or abuse gays has no impact on our ability to be "tough guys," because we're not insecure little boys.

Have 2 sons who are pretty good ballplayers, as well ... one who is turning down the opportunity to play in college because he's incredibly smart and motivated to succeed in AI and he doesn't feel he'll have the time to focus on both ... and the other who will likely play at a high academic (Ivy, perhaps), unless circumstances get in the way/change his mind.
