Bluesky is just the left wings version of Twitter. Similar echo chamber, which is no more extreme than Twitter (both Hella extreme), just with a left wing bias.

Bluesky is just a forum for people who fled X when Elon took over - it's for people that didn't want to be assaulted by a thousand maga-bots every time they made a comment and who at one time received a blue check for being a notable person instead of any Joe Schmoe who paid $8.00 a month to have their posts prioritized. Elon frequently trolls using alternative facts, and when he posts things that are later proven wrong, like a good fascist, he never goes back and apologizes or explains ... he's already moved on to the next troll. But his "successes" elsewhere serve to give him unwarranted legitimacy in the socio-political media arena. I've never experienced Bluesky ... I actually never experienced Truth Social directly, but plenty of the content there is "cross promoted" elsewhere, while I've never seen anyone reference Bluesky content in other media, so that could be an extremist cesspool, as well ... but I wouldn't know.

Not really. I was 18-19 and in college. I was probably partying or slipping out of some dorm in the horseshoe.

But I can look at the total air dominance, total sea dominance, complete elimination of several layers of leadership, zero aircraft shot down by Iran, etc and confidently say this is a special kind of asskicking.

And it couldn’t happen to a more deserving group. The most evil major country leadership in the world. Huge funders of terrorism. Oppressors of women. A country living in fear of terrorist leadership, desperate to be free.

The world will be a better place because of this. We should all be celebrating like the Iranians and Persians are.

To a large percentage of the population, Twitter is a free speech haven and Elon has allowed it to be so.

If you can't have nuance when seeing these things from other perspectives, regardless what you think is true, you're no better than they are.

Well, at the very least, it may be that a fair way of putting it is "the school and nearby other buildings."

Interesting seeing that the recent sat analysis indicates several targets in the immediate vicinity. Without diminishing the tragedy of innocents dying, intentionally or otherwise and regardless of age, it does raise a question relating to the potential "aggregation" of casualties, particularly given the nature of this particular vicinity.

I don't find Bluesky to be extremist at all. IMO, it's more intellectual and wonky than other platforms, with a lot of experts in their fields doing deeper dives on subjects than you'll see in other forums. It's why you don't see it being shared a lot because it doesn't provide the quick dopamine hits or gotchas that other platforms provide.

It doesn't matter anyway. With ammo or without That ship, by itself, up against a Virgina class attack boat shooting Mk48 ADCAP torpedos was 100% doomed anyway. Look up Solumani Class Corvettes. Limited air defense, zero anti- sub capability . Designed for attacking surface ships with missiles and then trying to scoot.

Sinking that ship like we did was a 100% flex. Message to Iran that we are in a vendetta kind of mood and that the gloves are 100% off, for the first time in a long time. We've literally never had this conversation before. And, simply put, you didn't say anything ... meaningless platitudes, but nothing else. What's inherent bias in my view? Use your words. I didn't speak as to whether Twitter is a "free speech haven," so that's entirely inconsequential commentary on your part. Your commentary was sweepingly broad nothingness, entirely lacking nuance.

In sum, you provided zero criticism of my actual commentary, but did somehow try to personally insult me with mischaracterizations, which seems to be your modus operandi. And it failed, yet again.

As I've said, I use it to watch the far right extremist propagandists do their thing, and I watch how the algorithm drives "for you" content. I've tried, on occasion, to switch it up, and I try to view as much pro-Dem, or anti-MAGAt, content as possible to see what the algorithm does ... it does then tend to provide somewhat more of that like-kind content, but it's still filled the far right crazies, too. And, in just a short time of looking at a bit of far right extremist propaganda for profit (Walsh, Loomer, etc.), my "for you" is just flooded entirely with that stuff. I've tried prolonged stretches of looking at pro-Dem and anti-MAGAt stuff, and it just doesn't take over the "for you" as wholly, and it doesn't "stick" as long.

I'm the wrong guy to have a meaningful convo or even a flat out e-fight name calling session on this topic. Before elon, i know the US Gov't and the company worked together to censor. I treat that as fact. i believe, it was a purposeful attempt to propagandize and sway elections. Now that elon has the ball i don't think it unreasonable that there could be a right finger on the scale. how intentional it is, i dont' know. Is the USG involved. I woudld't know. If i had a twitter account i might try the same thing and see what i found for myself.

Of course, they stood no chance against the best military in the world. We all know some of the good folks that fought on those wars. Im 45 now, we all were involved. My friends came back with PTSD and battle scars of various sorts. They are all on disability. Honestly, their day to day triumphs are an inspiration to me.
