Can't say that doesn't make me smile...
But that's just the MSU guy coming out in me...
I hate to say it but we want our B1G rivals all winning OOC games. It helps our SoS. Not that it matters who we root for, but we want them to win. It helps us.

He was. Kid's always been lights out since he was a freshmen. But our's played lights out too.

About right for a No 19 versus No. 1. Still think we can pull off a win. We are pretty formidable at home for last two years. The losses to Maryland, Hopkins, Army all by one. I was at the 3 OT loss to Maryland. Should have won that. We can play with anyone at home. B10 Tournament this year is home. Would love to see us win that.
It’s time we get a win that knocks a team off the track. I’m tired of always being the team who gets upset by someone who we’re better than. Whether it’s OSU, Army, Delaware, Princeton (you get the point). I’m don’t with it. It’s our turn to win as the underdog.

Both goalies were sensational. Game was lost on offense with turnovers and stupid mistakes.
me no, I think we wasted an All- American type of performance in the cage by Max. I thought Baratto was good but not great.
That's ok...my kids know that if PSU played Satan in anything, I am all-in with Satan...

Max made two absolute steals that no goalie at that level should stop. I agree. I thought Baretto was great. I thought Max was better.

What boggles my mind is that Hopkins, at 0-2, still received top 25 votes in the media poll and is 7th in the USILA poll. Honestly, I think the voters mail it in half the time. Maybe more often than that.
St Johns/High Point is a big one.

One of my Princeton buddies was in LA and I took him to my club to play. He said he didn't have a golf shirt so I said I had him covered. Made sure it was an R lacrosse shirt. Not sure if taking his money or him wearing that shirt was the highlight.
All of those need to happen. Of course, need to win the turnover and groundball battle.
I watched the Army game again. One thing I would have liked to have seen was us play faster. We allowed them to get set up in their ride too many times instead of forcing the ball down their throats. I think we got tentative after the first batch of turnovers then played right in their hands. Hopefully the team learns from it.
If we were to play them again, I would crank up the pace. Settling it down is not our thing. But it is theirs.
That’s why I was very concerned very early on....Getting behind Academy’s, like getting behind Princeton use to be in basketball, is a bad thing!
The shot clock helps nullify that now, but Navy plays fast. Army will run a little, just not much, and not with us.
The groundball stat in that game was not telling of reality. We picked up a bunch off the faceoff, only to get turned over. I give them credit. That team rides hard. It's a collective effort at every level. Reminded me of us when we are at our best.

Game was lost in us being terrible at clearing the ball .
Guys, Army is known for their defense. Like a full court press. They need to do it to make up for talent differential just like triple option in football. When done right lots of unforced errors as pressure causes you to make bad passes and bad decisions. They have been working on it since August.

That's still no excuse. We simply didn't do what we practiced. The turnovers shouldn't happen at this level like that.

This is a fact. After speaking to some people close to the program the players acknowledged that they were coaches in how to beat the ride and simply did not execute the game plan. And simply too many unforced turnovers. At first I was concerned that the staff did not prep the team for this Army ride but I was assured in no uncertain terms that they planned for it.
Riding in any fashion isn’t as unique as a triple option. The players we have should be able to clear the ball. It’s as simple as that.
I wore the RU lacrosse pullover...pulled it off
Got a few looks...my brother rolled his eyes and said "really"...but that was it...he didn't have anyone else to go to the game with him
By the way, I think RU is going to be a pretty good hoops team next year...lots of young talent.

I started playing 2 years ago. Below 20, I’ll leave it at that. Been hitting it good lately though so I expect it to go down. Unfortunately I have to get surgery so I’m forced to take some time off. Then I’m focused on training for a surf trip so who knows. I’ve grown to love the game though. You play?
