That’s funny chipper. Really!
Watched the entire game, pulling for Monroe. That kid aggravated the crap out of me. He suddenly wanted to be a pocket passer, which he is not, rather than use his athleticism, obviously his best attribute.
That 4th down play, when he extended the play with his legs, and could have easily gotten the first down, he opted to pass it at the last second instead. It was a terrible throw, just a terrible decision. He made bad decisions the entire game. Yes, credit NE’s defense some, but Chambers didn’t play well at all.

Got to say I was a bit surprised at this score. I have to take my hat off to Northeastern. At last, a decent passing attack to be found East of Charlotte. Not great, but at least they tried some passes...Something you just dont see much of in these eastern NC teams for some reason. Still, I feel the better team (that had played better competition all year long,) won the game.
So true about the 3A game. I think Monroe - NE was the best game I watched. Those 2 teams were about evenly matched. #4 Zion Lindsey for Monroe was a tough kid to stop. Give him credit for playing through pain. #9 for Northeastern Carren Armstrong equally tough! Those stupid penalties in the 3rd quarter really got NE behind the 8 ball. I can’t blame that on coaching. He can’t go out there and hold their hands. That’s all on those kids. Monroe also had their own share of miscues. Their defense in the 2nd half gave them the advantage. Dogs79 told me as we got in the car last night “ Well football season is over”. So true, we look forward to it for about 8 months and just like that it’s gone. CYA guy’s.
Grimsley had a play in the top 10 on you got Mossed. It’s was the one where Grimsley receiver went up and grabbed one against two defenders. JJ ( Johnny Glaspie ) had a play on there before
yeah that 4th down play was too easy to mess up like that. I dont know what was on his mind. You know some seasons it's hard to get up for the title game when beat teams you really wanted to beat. Often times title games can turn into trap games when you have 0 history and/or no knowledge of the team you're about to play.

No they wouldn't have! Tarboro wouldn't have made it out of the east in 2a. And they wouldn't have beat Mount Airy, MA knew how to stop that Tarboro straight T. That team they played didn't have a clue on how to stop them.
Tarboro would have beat MA this year they weren't what they were the last two years. MA only scored 7 on corvian Tarboro put up 45. Best believe Tarboro would have smoked James kenan had they played this year to

MA defense was still solid, and Tarboro put up 45 on Corvian because Corvian didn't know how to stop that Tarboro T.
Yeah MA was still good defense wise but they wouldn't have beat Tarboro this year. You act like it's Tarboros fault MA didn't make it this year. Would it have been a closer game? Probably but we will never know because it didn't happen. MA lost to much and Tarboro returned to much. At the end of the day Tarboro is a state champion so cry about it. Mount Airy got held to seven points by corvian. Tarboro put up 45 on that team and would have been more if not for extra point miscues. And I guarantee you if Tarboro had played James Kenan at any point in the last 8 years James Kenan would have lost a whole lot

that 46-12 whooping in 2016 must have put y'all in your feelings to this day. Congrats to the all the teams that won championships this year. End of an era sort of year for high school football in NC.

MA would’ve definitely lost by WAYYY MORE than what Corvian did. THS put up 45 on that defense. Meanwhile MA only put up 7 points against them. MA lost a bunch of players on that defense. Specifically that outstanding LB core. Would’ve been ugly for MA had they made it but guess what…They didn’t…

Ay I love the hate Tarboro gets lol. Some of these people on here intentionally forget what happened the last time Tarboro was in the 2A ranks. They were winning titles and winning a whole lot of football games.
