For Mooresville: Coming off their bye - They should be rested up n healthy going into Cox mill. Mooresville has to figure out to stay consistent and get the ball into their playmarker hands. Mooresville might have a slightly size/weight advantage on O line/D line. Mooresville will have have success on the ground again Cox mill

For Cox Mill: They have to play better and esp at the O line as Hough had their way with Cox Mill as Cox mill QB had prob one tough game all night long. Cox mill offense never got into rhythm and also I don’t understand why they would go hurry up for 1 play then next play no hurry up is bit odd. Cox mill still have some very talent players but How healthy are they headed into Mooresville contest. Also Cox Mill had it fair share of penalties vs Hough

I looked back last year on the forum and seen where Mooresville won 33-14. Mooresville up 21-0 at HT then Cox Mill made somewhat of a comeback 27-14 with Mooresville leading. Don’t know how this game will go but I do feel Mooresville is the better team. With Cox Mill being at home could help some. I take Mooresville by 17.

I don’t think Cox Mill will have the answers up front… I think our RBs may have big games, the question is can we get a pass rush on their QB. If we can’t get to him they have the weapons to make this difficult. But I think we can win the battle on both lines.

Man I don’t think I’ve ever been so emotionally drained after a game. This game was WILD.

Few things… first…. We need to figure out some sort of pass game… because whatever this was tonight will get us slaughtered by any top team (ie next week). Second… the OL was flat dominated in pass pro… ALL NIGHT. Dominant in run blocking but a fly could get to our QB when we dropped back. Third… penalties. We should have buried them early… and then really put it away in the 3Q. But we kept making stupid mental mistakes that would extend their drives (22 penalties, 204 penalty yards for both teams combined if that says how this game was played).

Some numbers from last night.. Mooresville had over 400 yards rushing, and had the ball for 34 minutes. I’ve never seen a game so controlled by one side end up becoming a barn burner

Howell, our RB, had 285 yards on 29 Carries and 4 TD. Westmoreland, our other RB, had 102 and a score on 19 Carries.

The problem is something needs to change with this passing game. Either the QB needs to be changed or the scheme…. Because we are HORRIBLE At everything related to the passing side of things…. We can’t pass block, we can’t throw consistently, we can’t catch at all…

If we are going to run the ball 50 times a game that’s fine… we might need to switch to some type of option offense. But I guess what we have been doing has been good enough so far.
