Can Mooresville shock the world. As for myself no predictions. It’s going to be what it’s going to be.
Any thoughts or predictions.

Depends on which MC team shows up. I see mooresville coming in motivated after last week's win and looking at a less than Creek Mallard Creek team...they look to come in and steal one. The one thing different from this yrs creek... physicality is not there. One thing I said about creek b4 win or lose they're going to come out and punch you in the mouth and no matter what ur gonna earn it and come out that game limping. I'll go with MC but whoever sets the tone will take it.

They were pretty dang physical on JV tonight up front lol. Their o line was mauling us in the first half. Second half was 7-6 us but it was to big a hole at that point.

Final was 62-0. Big yikes. That brings an end to the Imeck Conference. I would be excited about the move to Cabarrus but we aren’t lookin to great for that one right now.

Gotta tell ya. As much as the new Creek coaching staff has been maligned what the hell is going on at Mooresville. I only stayed until half time but they are a disaster. Didnt have a first down until 6 minutes to go in first half down 34-0. This was a decent program a couple of years ago.

A below avg Creek team missing 3 or starters just mauled them.

Could it be MC is starting to come together and playing their best ball. I’m not surprised with Mooresville losing but the lopsided score did surprise me.

No. We are that bad.

Mark it down, screen shot this, but I’m telling you right now we won’t finish top 4 next year in the new conference. We will be 5th or 6th.

I’ll keep my opinion to myself but all I will say If Mooresville doesn’t finish 4th-5th next yr - it’s going be tough ride in Greater Metro 4 conference

Until they get people on the school board that aren’t old school in their ways, we will forever be an under achieving program. The school board handicaps is so bad that it has kept the program from growing... and in fact I’d argue we are rapidly falling behind the football world. I put a lot of the state of our program on the board... little of it actually on Nixon or any of the coaches, or the AD.

the other problem is just the way kids are these days.... kids don’t work to get better physically and mentally year round anymore. And that’s where programs like Hough Vance and Creek leave us in the dust. Even Lake Norman has developed that mentality now. And it shows on the field

You are right, if you want to be competitive now days you have to be committed year round. I know kannapolis is in the weight room year around.

The short answer is no. MC has improved over the year but at their peak they are maybe a top 15 team this year.

Mville always gets out athleted when they play the big boys. This is different. Couldn't return kicks, couldn't snap the football, DBs just lost on simple routes. This was a team that looked like they rolled the ball out 3 or 4 days ago.

They were a 9 win team two years ago. Gave a good Hough team everything they wanted @Hough. Kids haven't changed that much in 2 years.

What has changed from the 9 win season? Was that just a fluke? Doesn’t look like they won too many games before or after that year.

I don’t think it was a Fluke just the style of offense fit well if this was when Hellams were there. Also Just overall QB play was better at the time but I don’t think it was a fluke but Hard to be consistent when you have had 3 different HCs in last 4 yrs and also many assistants leave or whatever so No consistency is biggest issue

I agree with a statement above about being competitive. I don’t think enough emphasis can be brought out that working hard in the off season on how important that is if your going to compete.

Blue and Gold...rationale for maybe being a top 15 only?
Rationale would be that after being a more than casual observer of Creek football for more than a decade I don't think they are very good( at least not by the standards that have been in place) . We know there are 3 teams in the Imeck better than them. Butler, Myers Park, Richmond. That's 6 right there. I think maybe it's a crap shoot after that but I wouldn't bet the ranch on them beating a Glenn, Ardrey Kell or Olympic right now today.

Now...thats not a shot at Tinsley or his staff. I think they were dealt a terrible hand and even under optimum conditions they would have been down some this year.

We will see what happens. Lot of talent in the hopper. Bunch of kids coming back including the entire Oline. However, in years past the next season would start Monday with 40 kids lifting. If they want to remain in the conversation for top dog it all starts right there.
