A match up rare mid season non conference match up this week of two of the best RBs in the state… as Jawarn Howell and the Mooresville Blue Devils travel to Charlotte to take on Luke Bailey and Providence.

Last year… Providence physically whooped us up front. They were easily the biggest OL we had faced and it showed. I think we have improved greatly since the last meeting, but I still worry about their size up front. This could be one of those whoever has the ball last wins type of games.

I expect this to be a really tight competitive ball game.

I’m going Mooresville in this game. I think Mooresville has improved leaps n bounds from last season. Could be a close one. Hopefully they still want be on high from this past week game.

Both of their wins came vs AK and Parkwood but 3 of losses are vs top quality teams.

Mooresville has played a slightly tough schedule thus far. I agree with my Blue Devil brothern that Provo O line is one of the best and they maybe slightly down this yr they still one of the better o line we will see this yr

He is bigger, stronger, meaner, and more talented than the guy he is replacing, who is now the current backup. The OL is actually BIGGER and more ATHLETIC than last year.

Their OL is just as big, if not bigger than last year, but you slow down Bailey and it’s over. He is their team.
I agree seems like Bailey is there work horse but still have a very good to decent line we struggled with last year only time will tell if Mooresville can adjust and win at the LOS

The problem being they averaged nearly 10 YPC on us last year lol. When I say we got blown off the ball… it was physical dominance.

and I have a feeling this game will be played Thursday

Does Providence have turf field. I was curious. I was wondering about the weather and how it would effect this Friday’s game.

Although Mooresville led by 14 at the half, Providence came storming back in the second half and led 28-27 with around 4 minutes left in the game and driving for a potential game sealing touchdown. But a 90 yard pick-6 by Mooresville stunned the home team and a subsequent kickoff return gaff by Providence led to a 4th and 12 attempt from inside their own 10 yard line that was snuffed by the Blue Devils, who then hammered home the final nail. One ejection of note was the Providence RB, Bailey, who picked up his second personal foul with only seconds remaining.
