His name is in the mix for a big SC job too. Hmmm....Jim Bob can go about wherever he chooses...I mean, he is like 57-1 over the last few years? Wow.

They no longer up for the job in Charleston. They removed the interim tag and gave it to the grandson of McKissick, John Call who led the team this past season

I suspect Coach baker from North Meck is probably in the mix too. Was a great OL coach for us before Wilson (Our AD, previously the N Meck AD) hired him at NM.

I read elsewhere a name will be given to the BOE by the 8th

How do you not have JBB in the very final mix. What he did at Havelock is beyond impressive. He wanted the job. There is only one other person that was in the final mix that is a non Mooresville guy and he is a coach with state titles at the 4A level. If he does not get it then one would wonder, what is Mooresville looking for.

I said it on CP and ill say it here- In my eyes, it looks like Winning is taking a backseat to politics. At this point ive lost interest in who we even chose. Weve made our bed, now weve got to lay in it.

Nepsy- in my estimation that would be a slight step back. Now im not as familiar with Ktown... But as for as we lose a lot of our oline, our qb, most of the starting wr's, and most if not all of our front 7 on defense. Im not sure what ktown loses to graduation but i assume it's not that much (please correct me if im wrong)? As far as a program itself... Didnt Ktown recently just get a really nice upgrade to the weigjt room? Or am i thinking of someone else?

On offence i know we lose about 98% of our scoring.

I just have a hard time believing he is actually in the mix at Mooresville. What reasons (not counting personnel) would he have for leaving? Would it be that big am increase in pay or something?

Maybe because he got to the final interview and wanting some things that wasn't possible. JBB is in the position to lay out what he want. Nice touch on I WONDER who they may be looking at. With K'town going back to 3A, it is hard to think Newsome want to fight that battle if Mooresville is rebuilding as one would say on here.

I think there are about 15,000 reasons to consider going from Ktown to Motown.

1wk hope all is well!

Don't think JBB wanted too much except possibly a few coaching slots but I may be wrong.

Im not sure coaching staff/slots were the difference. Because i think we may have a cpl open positions at the school anyways.. Thats my understanding anyway. To me it just sounds like we liked someone better

You don't know what you are talking about. Mooresville will hire a coach with multiple state championships. He's a great coach too.

You may well be right. Just didn't see why or how JBB wasnt a finalist. Imo his credentials speak for itself. Oh well, just want someone thatll get us ready for whats a head (a return to the I-Meck)

Would this be considered a home run hit for Mooresville.

The farthest thing from it 84. This hire is all about the politics in our administration. To not offer the likes of Jim Bob Bryant and Mile Newsome? When both appeared to show genuine interest... To me is obsurd. Im not sure how you legitimately justify that. But hey, it is what it is. For what its worth i do believe MP is a good coach. Was a good assistant for us back in the day. With those other guys in the mix just wouldnt have been choice #1 for me.

Champ- it was said on CP that our coach will be Marty Paxton (former Mooresville assistant, current head coach at Hickory Ridge)

Congrats Marty. Despite what others may think, you're very deserving of this position. See you soon.
