I have made some calls and here is my somewhat learned understanding:

It is not being considered a w.

The statement of admission by the Big Ten will be utilized in the event of a necessary tiebreaker with one or more teams separated by a sliver

There is at least one other game in this category this season,Duke at Virginia with a statement by the ACC office of a mistake. Not sure if they could move Duke from a probable 6 to a 5.Remember that Duke and Kentucky are possible 6-11 Rutgers opponents which could move that game to CBS.

I find it hard to believe that anyone in the selection committee is talking to anybody about this or the statement.

Until I see something further in writing I am under the assumption that we have no idea of what the implication of the statement is.

I still am under the thinking that the NCAA has no need to issue any statements about the matter unless it will impact seedings and selection. To me a tiebreaker doesn't really warrant a public statement BEFORE the selection.

They are never going to leak that it is being treated as a W, and it is not; but the outcome has been [my 2 cents] and will be considered. There is a distinction between our game and Duke-UVA where the missed call, if made, would have meant free throws and no one can say for sure if KF makes those [here probably does]. In our game, it is 100% black and white - correct call objectively changes the outcome without something more.

In any case, RU fans should be encouraged by today's news - we are going to dance (likely in Dayton if we lose Thursday)

So both teams won? No where I am reading that OSU will have the game looked at in a negative fashion. That’s BS if true

Have to think that the team they are using this .1 win to propel us ahead of is Penn State, which makes it even more enjoyable

Thanks, this is essentially what I predicted the day it happened. It's good to have a tiebreaker over 1-2 teams we're in a dead heat with. They know we would absolutely be locked into the tourney right now if not for that egregious error and I think our "reward" for that is a trip to Dayton if we lose against UM, which ain't quite a 10-11 seed, but it's better than NIT.
