plenty of alumni in the city, plenty of $ in the city

Or do you prefer Trenton, Newark?

Newark is easiest location for me but I love the Garden.

They do a major renovation of Macys but they don’t close the store. RU has a wonderful engineering school. Figure out how to do it without closing the RAC. You can close it from April to November for the big work and do it over 2 years if you have to.

An engineering school funded by the NJ taxpayers with a majority Chinese foreign national student body

The Chinese would have no issue doing it in 3 months.

Big issue is the requirements especially in NJ to wait for permits, sign-offs etc from multiple layers of government.

I worked in the Empire State Building for 15 years and would see a plaque saying it was built in 15 months in 1932. With todays tech but regulations it would take well over 5 years to do

Imagine how long it would take to build the subway system today!

And the scary thing for me is the new Garden isn’t nearly as loud or as fun as the old Garden. Used to love how you could walk around lower concourse. Was liking walking around a football stadium like the old Giants Stadium. A fun conga line during a Buffett concert. A lot quieter than it used to be. No more blue seats. Garden lost some of its charm even thought I think they did a nice job. Petrified RAC will lose some of its magic or noise. I’d be thrilled with more bathrooms and perhaps a bigger concourse. Nothing else. Scared of messing with footprint like 118.

Plus scheduling might be limited between the Knicks, Rangers and St. John's.

No.

I’m all about playing at MSG for neutral site or big non conference but we would never even come close to yesterdays turnout on a weeknight game @6:30 or 8:30pm.

Actually it would really be March to December. 10 months is enough time to do most of the major stuff . You can live with playing November and December non conference outside the rac

Rutgers should go ahead and do it just as you said. I said create a list of politicians and outspoken people so you can drop a dime on each one when they raise concerns or opposition against the project. There are a lot of empty threats from people with more bones in the closet than Rutgers. Greedy and selfish people have more to lose. They can't imagine life without power and control over others. Threats will keep dogs lying in their place.

Supposedly rutgers has good agricultural classes at cook . Yet, no one could figure out how to grow grass on a football field . What a school !! True story

Now with Pitino at SJU I’m sure he will insist that a lot more of their games be played at MSG. That may limit the number of available dates

Very interesting, I've seen that plaque as well, I think, but it never occurred to me to think of it that way...

I like this idea a lot.

I stick by the rotating plan - something like...

5 Games in Trenton
5 games at the Garden
5 games in Newark
2 Games in AC
2 Games at the Palestra.

We travel great - promote the brand - we are the best program in the northeast.
I appreciate the thought, but how does this generate the same amount of revenue that would be earned at the RAC? You need to keep it fairly located near the season ticket/fan base. Plus the rental fee should be cost effective.

2 games in AC isn't drawing anyone. 2 games in the Palestra isn't doing it.

You'd be the fourth scheduling priority at MSG and the third at the Pru. Not saying the Pru wouldn't make sense, but you'd be limited on dates.

Trenton would make the most sense for a crowd that mostly drives and parks at games.

If you make the AC games on weekends I think it would actually draw well. I would most likely make a night of it and get a room down there.

Jadwin gym has capacity of 6.864 and we could probably rent it out real cheap
Play 2 or 3 marquee games at Rock

Good luck thinking all those games would be like yesterday especially those Sacred Heart games

Find a way to do rennovation without giving up the RAC
Agreed getting to either Trenton or Newark during rush hour forget about it I won't be going to a weeknight game!! Unless it is an 8:30 game and then won't be getting home till after 11 so who knows
As I said before if the renderings are true and they are going to blow out the side by the parking lot then do all that work and then blow through to the inside in the off season; Hobbs I believe on the podcast said they will do everything in their power to play at the RAC and of course there still is no timetable for these renovations yet anyway

RU has a turf management program!
I said the same at the time. Just mind boggling
