Under.....way under.

If Ray wins 13-14 games then he should be SEC COY.

It is hard enough to win with 8 good players much less 8 freshmen and marginal players. I read where we might be counting on Baxter Price to give us some minutes and my heart sank.

Don't get me wrong I want us and Coach Ray to win as much as anyone but we are in for a season full of arse kickings.

We wont get to ten wins

Last season South Carolina, the SEC's worst team won ten games. They had 14 OOC games, 9 against non-BCS schools. They also won 2 SEC games.

I think that our team will win 1 SEC game but just for argument's sake I will give us 2. I also think we are the worst team in the SEC this year so I will base our OOC like SC's last year.

Our OOC features 12 OOC games (including Chaminade and Butler/Marquette loser) with 9 against non-BCS schools

SC OOC was 8-6 57%
To be 57% would mean that we would go 7-5. 2 SEC wins gets us to 9. And as I said earlier I think this team only wins 1 SEC game, making my prediction 8.

And remember this is comparing us to a USCe team that we barely beat in OT last season.

Over. We have a decent chance of winning 9 just out of conference.

No we dont. Losing to UNC Butler/Marquette and Providence means that we would have to win every other OOC game, which we wont. Only 12 OOC this year.

No it's not. Lots of teams win playing rotations of no more than 8 players. Really even 7 isn't much of a problem unless you have foul trouble. Playing 10-11 players per game is the most overrated thing about college basketball. You just don't need that deep of a rotation. And sometimes it works against you by not allowing players to get into any kind of rythm in their game. No doubt we're in for a lot of *** kickings this year. But we'll win double digit games.

I know the schedule. We have a decent chance, maybe 1/3 of going 9-3 since most of those are gimmes. We'll have a better idea after the first 2 games. Providence isn't an automatic loss either, but it is a longshot.

Over.

I think we get 10-12 wins. I'm really hoping this team can get there. Between season ending injuries, losing 4 starters, and the talent we were left with that we now have to depend on, getting to double digit wins would be good for this team going forward.

I think we get 12-14, assuming no more injuries. We will sneak up on a few SEC teams that aren't expecting it. Having 3-4 guys that can potentially be deadly from 3 gives us a chance to pull a couple of upsets on nights where we get hot shooting the ball.

Correct, but your typical 8 man rotation has at least 3 or 4 who can acutally play.

Either way, we could have 50 guys like we have now and sub every 30 seconds and would not win 12 games. The quality and experience is just not there.

Since when is 1 in 3 a decent chance?

Under. 0 SEC wins, 7 total wins. No one in the SEC will field a team with less experience or depth. No true point guard, no backup point guard. It is going to take time. A whole lot of time. I'm generally a sunshine pumper, not in this case. Proud of the Dawgs that remained loyal and are committed to the team. Hope they can pull a rabbit out of the hat and win a 10 or 12.

I haven't seen them play, but I do know basketball and the pieces he's working with. If he gets a dozen wins like some of you are predicting then I will be beyond impressed with the coaching effort. I hope I'm wrong because basketball is a passion, and right now I'm pretty blah about it.

Glad to see someone had some foresight.

Yeah, you completely called us losing our only 2 returning contributors for the vast majority of the season to crazy injuries**

Making a prediction that ends up becoming true out of extreme circumstances does not make it a good initial prediction.

You are incredibly wrong here, I predicted 7 OOC wins with 1 SEC win. After the circumstances you mentioned we are now bumped down to 6 total wins (assuming we beat NO)
