Mt. Airy Bears - Athletic Bunch

One of the best high school football games i ever had the pleasure of watching, that robbinsville running back was a beast, but that drive at the end of the game was some kinda special. Still believe to this day that game was what cost the bears back to back titles. Deff not taking anything away from wrh but they got a banged up bears team that saturday, but two of the best football games ive seen, video is a highlight not a showcase , bears are gonna be hard to beat at home , it will be a gaunlet , but deff rather host that gaunlet that than travel it.
Murphy is a bunch of babies who thinks they are the greatest thing in high school football. I am tired of hearing it and i am sure others are too. I would say just bring the game if you make it that far and we will bring the boots and we will see who stomps who.
Would bet this is not a Mount Airy Bear fan but someone trying to stir things up ! ! May be a Bear from another school. Only 3 posts sense 11/14/2010..... LOL
Both MA and East Surry will be tough outs...too bad the conference was so pitiful except for those two teams.

I will bet you a moon pie and a soda pop that the bears make a game of it piles, whatcha think? But in all honesty both teams have a whole lotta work to do before that game is even close to happening.
Go back under you bridge, troll. If you wanna stop hearing about it then get "your team" to do something about it and quit whining.
Piles is not a Murphy fan, no one from Murphy thinks the Bulldogs would "stomp" Mt Airy. Both teams have a lot of tough teams in front of them before they could even begin to think about playing one another. I know the Mt Airy and Murphy players and coaches are taking this one week at a time, as it should be.
That 42 yard field goal against East Surry as time expired in the first half completely changed the momentum of the game. A year or so back Robert kicked a game winner at North Surry as time expired. Some college is going to be surprised and lucky to get him.
I remember Virginia Tech bringing in the High School holder, Caleb Hurd, for Shayne Graham of Pulaski County VA. Shayne went to the NFL and Caleb went to NASCAR as a gas can catcher in the pits.

Murphy has a different kid that kicks off and he puts in the endzone about 50% of the time. Special teams went from a big weakness for Murphy to start the season to a strength.
Little pre mature to be talking about a Murphy / Mt Airy matchup. Both teams have there hands more than full before that can happen. I still remember that 2007 swain game. Lets just hope both teams get lucky enuff to see each other. As a Bear fan i have had the pleasure of seeing murphy this year , they are an impressive crew , VERY PHYSICAL!!!
Man, I agree with that. All I like to talk about are players and giving the young people credit. I think the other poster from Swain was just wanting to see a Mt. Airy/ Murphy matchup. Nobody, counting their chickens here.
We love yhea daddy doug , keep it coming. This years team has the potential to be special. Next year will be real good to. Outside the Bears and Cardinals which i follow equally as close , me and the crew love some smokey mountain conference football as well, we always make a couple murphy and swain games a year. I say it every year , you aint been hit all year long like you will get hit when you play those two , dont matter what their record is , you dont like seeing them roll into town. Got the potential to see them both at the house this year , EVEN BETTER
