Don't have to believe me if unz don't want to but I've said it all year long that we was gonna be tha only 1s that gave Murphy a run for there money!! I seriously didn't see swain beatin them but on any givin Friday night anythang can happen!! I know Murphy ain't gonna come up here and lay down, not in there blood to do that!! Ain't got nothin but respect for Murphy football program!!! Hope we don't look to far past coach dockery and them yellow jackets!!
All the hype. Murphy with their tradition and Cherokee fans saying all year they would be in this spot. Heavy weight bout & we have to wait another week to see it. This game is worth driving a couple hours to watch. North Rowan & West Mont lock it up this week. Might have to venture to Cherokee next week. & we haven't gotten to the playoffs yet!
Yeah let me be honest then!! I know and knew Murphy was gonna own tha SMC this year!! But I also knew that tha braves was gonna be decent this year, and my personal opinion was, if anybody was gonna compete with Murphy it would be us!!! I didn't think tha sleepin giant swain was gonna beat them, o and if we was to play swain again this year we'd get beat by 1,000!! Give me a break!!!! Even if there ready to prove a point or not, if tha ball don't roll your way that night then you take a L!! And that's towards us and them, not just Murphy!!

Yes we do have a lagit shot at tha conference this year, and I seriously think when we get with tha teams away from tha mountains we're gonna be more physical!! Everybody in SMC knows tha wing t is comin, just you gotta be able to stop it!! Not sure if people away from here know that they run it all thru youth league till they graduate!! That's why they've got it down packed!! Then a quarter back that can throw and good receivers on top of that, hard to stop!! Son I pumped about next week's game even if they both get upset this Friday!!!
Well since we're in tha past!! You do know that this same exact Cherokee team beat same exact Murphy team in youth league don't you!!!??
And on top of that, there was some kids out there causin a division amongst tha team!! And I believe we averaged about 250 yards in penalties per game durin that time to!! If, should've, could've, would've deal!! Will see!!
The ol Murf puppies are just some over hyped underachievers. That fumblerooski is more legendary that the Odell Beckham. One handed catch, I talked to someone at the game. You are right nole . No way that Cherokee team beat any good team last year till they rid of bad eggs and started playing together. That was a 3 game stretch where we got killed by smokey , Swain and Murphy, we were beat up and wrong kids were leading . Since that moment the braves are 15-1 and playing solid. Will we beat Murphy who knows but I think if you expecting the same Cherokee team you might be in for a surprise.
Nole you know we battle hard in smc but when it comes playoffs always pulling for the smc. I fully expect and think it will be a battle. I’m sure hsyesville gonna use this thread and the dis respect aspect to be fired up this week. We better come to play Friday
I am just curious about these bad eggs. If I’m not mistaken didn’t the Toineeta boy leave the team last year. He’s Cherokees only 2 time state champion and everyone I’ve spoken to have had nothing but good things to say about him.
You're right, they are not that good. They only play one pretty good team every year and lose that game. North Henderson got beat by North Buncombe. Let that sink it. They are the last place team in their conference.
One guy I’m surely not gonna name the kids but there were several that all either quit or got kicked off around the same time. You can deduct reasons and I don’t know exactly what happened just know that after that moment cherokee has only lost one game since. You can deduct whatever you want from that cause I did
Tit for that. Last year is last year. Youth league was youth league. This game is about who has worked harder for four straight years. Pending an injury from either team Friday both teams should show up almost healed up. It will be a battle. Cherokee will seat more than 4,000. Good luck to Murphy this week. See y'all Nov 3
McCrea was a bad lad in them days!! He still is a hard runner but them other backs they got down there are steppin up and gettin some of that light!! Cool deal is that they don't seem to mind, whatever for tha W I guess!! Hope my little buddy ledford ready to get some touches next Friday, he runs hard!! I understand the argument about kids playing the same kids throughout their playing days. But we cannot say Cracker Bowls translate to State Championships. Everyone in the conference at some point had a dominate youth league. The same goes for JVs. Yes that does translate into very productive years for schools when that talent reaches high school but kids change during that time. The same teams that blistered others find the exact same competition more competitive. All I am saying is that you never know who's going to dominate in 10 years by looking at an undefeated pee wee Cracker Bowl team.

When is the last time a SMC leader played a quality 3A or above team? Don't give me Franklin either because they are just a glorified SMC team and you guys get owned by them.
Does it really bother you so much that you bring your pathetic opinions on a 1A board and try to belittle a 1A conference for being what they are. The only other board I occasionally go on is the 2A board to read about Franklin and yes I support Franklin because I have Family there. Also Franklin use to be a member of the SMC. Come on Man
Murphy's beatdown of Asheville in this year's scrimmage probably doesn't foretell a regular season game anytime soon...so I guess we'll just have to speculate until then, Piles.
