He is worse than not that good. He is flat out pitiful. But everybody outside the city of Memphis already knew this.

Duren, absolutely. He's the type of guy that would thrive under Cal.

Bates, I'm not so sure Cal, or anyone, could do much with him at this point. He's simply not physically ready for college basketball. Sadly, I think he's going to be one of those cautionary tales. It was clear that players at the high school level were catching up to him, so rather than slow down and let the maturation process play out, he reclassified to college.

So happy to see Memphis continue to lose. But, in looking at the stats Memphis had decent stats with Duren having a good game. If you based who would win on stats than Memphis should have won. But, Murray hit a lot more 3''s but look like foul calls were in Memphis favor. So, have to conclude without having watched the game, the big problem must have been Memphis defense.

Wow! I like to pick on Penny, I must say, but I almost feel sorry for him. It's like watching a train wreck.

It doesn't get any easier soon- with games against Alabama and Tennessee coming up.

Yep, it's 4, all in December- Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tennessee.

It's an ambitious schedule for sure. They usually play 2 or 3 SEC teams every year. Ole Miss or Miss St are regulars, and Tennessee is a fixture. Georgia and Alabama are the extra ones. I'm thinking Penny may be regretting scheduling the extra SEC teams this year.
