Been digging some Bad Bunny lately.
One of my favorite bands is Megadeth, hence my handle name. They’re retiring after 40+ years in the game.

They released their final album in late January and Dave Mustaine finally got that No. 1 record he’d been chasing his whole career.

Here’s one of their all time classics along with a new track for the most recent album.

Great songs. The Ride the Lightning they put on their latest album is just embarrassing.even though Dave co-write it.

Matteo Mancuso and his talented bandmates return to Ludlow Garage on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
This is an intimate venue and a great place to see them perform their jazz-fusion, rock and progressive rock instrumental music.

Laud Back Country Picker will be at The Whirling Tiger in Louisville on Sunday, March 1st. That's a nice spot and would be a cool place to see him. He will also be n Newport on April 22nd at Southgate House Revival.

I'm into more laid back and chill music these days. I really like this sound.

Not bad. Haven’t heard of them.

I’ve always just been a rock guy, 90’s and punk rock. Rap (the real rap), but lately I’ve been into some blues. This isn’t bad these guys seem to have their own unique way.

It's been described as "music that sings without needing a singer, that's lyrical without needing words". Their chemistry is amazing. I find it very soothing.

I've been listening to lots of Bad Company recently. Started back a few months ago when it was announced that they were to be inducted (finally!!) into the Rock HOF. Back when they were big I basically only listened to the stuff that got lots of FM radio play. I only owned one of their albums. But I'm now finding out how damn great they were.

This is a good one to crank to max volume anywhere any time

Great when cranked to max volume while driving on the interstate and drumming on the steering wheel

Cranked to max volume when reminiscing about a lost love

Great to just enjoy how fantastic paul Rodger's voice is

OK, now I need to go get more Bad Company songs. I had purchased their best-of, but now may need a deeper dive I think.

And I'll need to check out more Free. I'm only familiar with their most famous song, All Right Now.

Thanks

Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke founded Bad Company after Free disbanded. All Right Now was considered their pop hit. It does not really represent the body of their work.

Paul Kossoff was highly-regarded on guitar and known for his vibrato and the spacing in his playing. Andy Fraser was considered one of the best bassists around, going back to his early teens ... quite a natural player. Mr. Big is a helluva song, featuring Fraser on bass. Gov't Mule often plays it, fwiw.

Check out Rodgers' incredible singing and Kossoff's killer vibrato in the live version of the title track from their first album. I have every album FREE and Bad Company ever put out.

I played music a long time in Lexington. Lots of incredible music out of Lexington over the years.

Here’s one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever had the privilege to know who passed away from cancer two years ago. His name was Robby Cosenza and he played drums in my band but played with just about everyone in Lexington over the years. For old timers he even toured with Paul K when he was in high school. Just had the second annual tribute show to him at the Burl last weekend which is now a yearly fundraiser for the Tates Creek music deportment which is where he went to school. Here’s some of his solo stuff under the name Fanged Robot. He plays drums and guitars and other instruments on this and wrote all the songs for Fanged Robot.

Here’s a tune from his double album that was released after he passed away:

Here’s another band he was in called Scourge of the Sea that also recorded an album right before he passed away but don’t think they’re going to release it now. This is from their first album back in early 2000’s:

And here’s a video for a song I wrote with my band the Apparitions. Robby played drums on this one. This song charted top 30 on the CMJ (college radio) singles chart and the album charted top 40. The album is called As This Is Futuristic and came out in 2005 or so if you want to search out some other tunes:

Hey Travis, did you ever cross paths with Matt Presby or John Clark? I worked with Matt in the mid 90s at UK and he played in several small venues like the Hyp Joint (sp?). John played bass with Velvet Elvis.

We started around 97 but some of the guys I played with had been in some previous bands that were in the scene a littler earlier than me. By the time I hooked up with them Wrocklage was already shut down, for a frame of reference.

I'll never be able to understand why this band is not in the Rock HOF.
The first couple videos are cheesy as hell with the obvious lip syncing. But your dad (maybe your grandfather) thought it was cool at the time.

I've spared you the songs "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back In Town" since you've no doubt heard them a thousand times already. You know what to do. Set the bass at 10, the volume at 11.

The RTL cover was exactly what I thought it would be - a tad faster with an improved solo section but vocally much, much worse. Lol

Only good new music these days is Outlaw Country IMO. The 2 Cody's ( Johnson n Jinks) , Tyler, etc. I used to like rap back in the day but now its some auto tune mumble non sense that hurts my ears literally. Lots of good Outlaw country now though.

I listen to everything. Honestly if im by myself working out or just working in general I’ll have on the good ol rap. But if I gotta come back to my roots and what I really am this has always been my favorite song for some reason.

Spent the day revisiting one of my favorites, The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd has been cranking out great tunes since he was 18.
KWS on guitar, Noah Hunt on vocals.

Perhaps the only cover of a Jimi Hendrix tune that I really like.

Here are a few of the many songs I used to love to work out to, especially if you're getting after it. Ear buds, with the bass fully-cranked !!!

Thanks ... I'm 73, so I've been lucky enough to hear a lot of good stuff from back in the day. I've seen a helluva lot of shows over the years and still going to them, but here is clearly the best concert I've ever been to. I was on the floor about 10 people deep, between Daltrey and Entwhistle. 12/08/75 ... I was 23 years old.

Damn I remember the Wrocklage too. Good times man. Guess I’m getting older.

did you ever play with or know Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits? Those guys basically got started playing frat parties and bars in Lex. Watched them many times all over campus.
