But he said he understands, implying that he agrees with his 9 year old. I doubt his 9 year old is reading the board. Perhaps he could explain. Setting reasonable expectations in life is important to learn early on. If someone told me when I was young that I would never date a super model, I would not have had to handle all that rejection. It's a kid so I'll l be nice.
Give the kid credit, he's more measured than half the posts in the game day thread and after game posts.Guys the kid said it so it has to be true
If he watches the Jets or the Giants, he might change his view on Rutgers. He needs to watch more football.
Definitely not excusing the adult. If he's implying that he was in agreement then he's a fool as an adultBut he said he understands, implying that he agrees with his 9 year old. I 100% agree with you, except for the apoplexy thing of which I am unsure. What the hell is that?Rutgers has lost 5 games this year. Their worst loss is to Wisconsin at Camp Randall. Their other losses came against #1, #2, #12 and #16. 3 of which were on the road. The apoplexy needs to stop.
The game thread had people becoming apoplectic in the first quarter, posting “the game is over” when the score was 7-3.I 100% agree with you, except for the apoplexy thing of which I am unsure. What the hell is that?
Kind of was. 3 FG’s is a big askThe game thread had people becoming apoplectic in the first quarter, posting “the game is over” when the score was 7-3.
Buy your kid a good set of LEGOS this year. He’ll understand them a lot better than football at that age.His comment after today's game: "If Someone watched Rutgers play Wagner as their first time seeing them, they'd say wow, this team is great. But if they watch them play anyone else, they'd say wow, this team is terrible."
(He went to the Wagner game with me last season.)
I see your nine year old probably knows as much about football as you do.His comment after today's game: "If Someone watched Rutgers play Wagner as their first time seeing them, they'd say wow, this team is great. But if they watch them play anyone else, they'd say wow, this team is terrible."

I’m pretty sure I skipped that one on the SAT exam. The game thread had people becoming apoplectic in the first quarter, posting “the game is over” when the score was 7-3.
Sure, but by the same logic, the game was over long before it started, right?Kind of was. 3 FG’s is a big ask
More or less means “really angry”.I’m pretty sure I skipped that one on the SAT exam.
But they were right. It was overThe game thread had people becoming apoplectic in the first quarter, posting “the game is over” when the score was 7-3.
Then it was over a week ago, too. Or before the season. But they were right. It was over
I guess your son missed the other 5 games we won...geezHis comment after today's game: "If Someone watched Rutgers play Wagner as their first time seeing them, they'd say wow, this team is great. But if they watch them play anyone else, they'd say wow, this team is terrible."

At nine years old children usually echo what their parents are saying. These words are coming out of the OP’s mouth.
Personally, I didn’t say a thing about a nine year old. My response was that these comments (if they were ever really made) are really the OPs sentiment not his 9 year old child. Since last years Wagner game the team won 8 games. He thinks we stunk in all of them? This is just the poster using a nine year old, real or fictional, as a shield. If it really happened it’s his duty as an adult to correct any false realities his child might have. Unless the OP wants to perpetuate this negativity.a lot of ******* comments here regarding a 9yr old but God forbid anyone says and adult playing for Rutgers sucks and it's 'how can you talk about a kid like that'????
ridiculous
kid isn't wrong, the past 2 weeks we looked like a Ash led squad. Hell even on the main page that comparison has been made. You guys live in a bubble, Greg is fking this all up by not having a good enough qb
Rutgers has shown it's able to score on a blocked punt, fumble, or interception.Kind of was. 3 FG’s is a big ask
I'm apoplectizing the fact that I have never even heard that word before.I’m pretty sure I skipped that one on the SAT exam.
Completely? No. But I watched a team come out on its first drive, mix up the plays, and push the ball down field with a good passing attack. PSU DBs looked ripe for the picking yesterday and we stopped what was successful. I realize their DL started putting more pressure on GW but we stopped what was working and continued to run the ball right into their defensive pile that clogged the middle.Did people in the game thread think the team was going to suddenly become a completely different team in the one week since our last game?
We’re a ball possession, run-first team with a pretty good defense. That’s not changing mid-season. The coaches are gonna coach to our strengths even when our strengths might not be enough to win some games. Because coaching to our weaknesses ain’t often a recipe for success.

Lol I take it you didn’t click on my spoiler?Wow, so many angry replies here. @colbert17, I am far from negative. I am one who consistently gets frustrated by the negativity of the game threads and the board In general.
@Zak57 He 100% said those exact words.
@The RUT You're a moron. I don't know what else to say about that.
To everyone who's saying he's wrong....RU is, at best, mediocre. The defense has played great and I feel bad for them. The offense has been nonexistent for weeks. Special teams, outside of Patel, are an embarrassment.
Sure, he's 9, so he doesnt understand the intricacies of the improvements RU has made. So, to simplify, RU looks good against bad teams and bad against good teams. Do they stink this year? Maybe he's being a bit harsh there. But if you believe this is a good team, I'd ask you to take off the Scarlet colored glasses and be more objective. We're at least a year away from being a good team.
Haha, didn't even see that there. My bad. To be fair, all 9 year olds suck once in a while.Lol I take it you didn’t click on my spoiler?
