Name the one realistic hire that would make you happy and the one guy you for sure don't want
I still have some hope Gregg Marshall may be in play, but Dooley's HC experience puts him above Payne to me. My #2 is Stan Jones and #3 is Payne. If Payne could convince me he had a great X & O coach or two coming with him it might help.<div>

...but I'd be ok at this point with Payne, Collins, or another top assistant at a successful program. I'd rather have Payne of the two due to his recruiting ability.
With what's out there now, I'd rather take a chance that we hit on a good assistant than hire a less than stellar head coach who hasn't had great success or some retread.

Bottom line - get it done ASAP.
