Didn't realize that Mitch is the son of a former NBA Champ, and played at Stanford for 4 years.

Spurs absolutely stepped in S. They have legitimately 3 first pick of the draft caliber players as their 3 man core. They need to maximize their picks this year - that 20th pick will be big for them. They could use a backup big in the early second.

I didn’t know who his dad was until recently.

His dad was a hell of a player. I never met him but he was a good friend and mentor to a former NBA player friend of mine.
