I'm honestly shocked Houston was able to get to a 2 seed. They aren't bad, but I think this proves that regular season just doesn't matter for a lot of teams, especially for teams like GSW or LAL who know they can sleepwalk into the playoffs.
Houston just needs a star wing. Until Jalen Green shows up every game they need a Butler or a Devin Booker who can go off every night.

Jokic is a bad man, Westbrook sucks. They finally battle back to take the lead, Jokic is unstoppable and Westbrick tries to be a hero and shoot a 3. SMH I know he wants to be a hero at OKC but that isn’t his game and never has been. At least drive the ball.

And Aaron Gordon wins it! They steal game one from SGA and he was incredible. Wow.

What a choke job. Fouled too early. Holmgren bricks 2 free throws then lazy defense. Had Jokic on the bench and fouled to get him back in. Great effort in the comeback by the Nuggets but OKC gave it away.
Yeah, so dumb by Caruso with the 2 immediate fouls when they could have bled some clock. And you have to find a way to get it in to SGA. I knew Holmgren would choke at the line.

WTF was with the fouling so early and also using your timeouts to keep advancing because you put in a zombie rebounding lineup that honestly of the 3 guys OKC put in the game--in a tough, fight for the game situation, I only trust Hartenstein--Holmgren is so MID and the charge taking goober from Arkansas isn't going to do anything.

I watch the Thunder every season. I keep waiting to be blown away by the greatness that every NBA hipster media guy tells me they are and I see a bunch of MId tier guys around SGA and he's too willing to give up the ball to those losers. That Williams guy is ****. Chet gagged so bad in this game--that can become something so he better get his game together moving forward because the Playoffs can ruin players/teams/eras and it's only got to take 1 game. Hear their Coach is a "genius" too. The GM Who never wins anything is a "wizard" with all the Draft picks and a bunch of mids around his best player. The jumpers when SGA isn't shooting late are straight trash bum bricks.

Oh well-maybe they come back and show me that I just haven't watched enough but sure feels like this game will linger and cost them the Series and that we'll be talking in the Offseason about how "smart" the Thunder Front Office is and how "ahead of everyone" they are with nothing to show for it except a commercial that an MVP Candidate shares with 2 Mid's.

Westbrook even tried to stop the comeback with his patented I am the hero brick too! I went upstairs because I thought the game was over and was astonished they had the ball for a chance to win.

In all three series openers for the conf semifinals the lower seed pulled the upset on the road in Game 1. I’ve never seen that happen before.

I wonder if the Warriors can make it a perfect 4 for 4 tomorrow.

That’s pretty cool.

It was very awesome. Knicks down 20 at one point. Brunson came up huge. There was a corporate box next to us that had about 20 Knicks fans going nuts, and ONE guy in a Celtics jersey. He looked miserable at the end as they all cheered in his face haha

Celtics went 15-60 on threes. The NBA is going to have to consider rule changes. Maybe a 3 becomes worth 2.7, or a two point shot should be worth 2.3. Call me Boomer, but I would crack down on walking too, at least on the extra step and change of pivot foot that guys get away with now.

It's definitely possible.

I still think the cavs and Celtics will win their series.

Idk about the thunder. Nuggets seem to be playing well again since they fired their coach. I think whoever wins that series wins the west (not a bold prediction I know).

I was told by people on this board that Holmgren was going to be a generational talent because of his upside. I didn't feel he would because he is just too frail and those toothpick legs and arms will never be able to support enough weight to be able to battle in the NBA on a regular basis. They should just cut ties with him now and get a center who can average more than 15 and 8.

He was also very avg in the 1st Rd where the Grizzlies put forth the most gutless performance of any team I've seen in the Playoffs in some time. Truly a work of art down in Memphis. Almost thought Penny Hardaway was coaching.

He's a good player in the NBA. He's not a difference maker. There's nothing he does that is elite and he's always injured. Horrible combination but we're going to be told we don't get it. The problem with NBA Hipster Media is they want to act so intellectual. They'll tell you that some goofball fat kid like Talen Thornton Tucker is someone you "just can't see because you don't know ball". and every team he goes to sucks because he plays. He's a fat guy who is a tweener who has some nice nights on bad teams. But Klutch/LeBron had him on the '20 Lakers and that spurred the "If you don't like THT you just don't know ball". At some point guys are what they are.

As I feel I've stated for about 15 yrs in a row--I'm still waiting to get the OKC thing. Hype. Praise. No results when it matters. They always get to prove us doubters wrong and still waiting for the "BIG MOVE" with all the picks who honestly have been pretty mid to average for bragging about the genius of Presti. I mean the Clippers are the Clippers-so they gifted SGA to them for Paul George. Big deal. That's a Clippers move and this Ballmer is a try hard Tech Guy who is part Jerry Jones and Part Steve Cohen so you get some good hires (coaching staff is very good) and some head scratchers like opening an amazing new arena with a team that is old, broken down and not very good. Ballmer's best contribution will be if he moves to Seattle and lets the Lakers take that Arena over in his departure.

Some games are just a game the team who will likely win the Series loses (Celtics for instance-I can't stand them but they'll make more 3's and Knicks scoring lulls will cost them in a 7 game Series-and I hope I'm wrong because I've hated the Celtics since watching the NBA) but that OKC game felt like one that will haunt them. Now the "MIDS" aka SGA's teammates have more pressure to at least not miss their wide open jumpers like they were 8 yr olds who run out to shoot at a timeout during an AAU game.

Thunder Staff led by their HC who is always lauded but coaches like he is pushing for an NBA Elam Ending to prove he's sophisticated compared to normal fans who just enjoy the NBA and game as is, got way too cute.

Everyone is different in how they approach a team when their best player is in foul trouble--but Thunder got obsessed with trying to go at Jokic to get him out of the game instead of just doing what everyone else does--go past him and score. He's a non existent defensive player at all times-so why would fouls matter? It's also the NBA so you aren't going to get a 6th foul on a guy of his stature unless it's something blatantly obvious or a Series needs the other team to win (refs helping a team win a game in NBA? NEVER, LOL)

So watching Jalen Williams throw up nonsense while jumping near or into Jokic instead of just going by him and scoring was a thing to behold. Also felt the play that kept Denver alive was a 2 on 1 break where SGA gives Holmgren a pass and he's leaning into Jokic trying to draw a foul and doesn't--and misses a dunk. I mean why would you expect a 7'1 guy to make a non contested dunk in the NBA? Especially one of the "futures" of the NBA?? Especially a Presti Pick where he's so much smarter than everyone else who works in the NBA that you need to build him a statue-despite never winning anything. They have higher seeds, they did appear in an NBA Finals with KD/Westbrook/Harden/Ibaka and it was to be "one of many" and never returned. They are lacking something and part of it is they just lack tough people. All their guys look like posers. I trust 3 guys on their team--SGA, Caruso, and Hartenstein to compete and perform at a level that is NBA Playoff Tough--but even SGA is far too happy to delegate to the Mids that surround him and throw up shots so awful you wonder how this team wins? I get it--Lu Dort is special and if you don't admit that-you don't know ball--I get it--Presti taught Naismith the game of basketball, etc....and yet we're here again figuring out how they lost a game they were in total control.

Will show me a lot if they bounce back and run this Series--but it sure feels like a Series that Denver just wants to stay close--and knows they can steal in 4th Quarters because they like most teams who play the Thunder don't respect the Mids around SGA.

OKC better pray that they don't see the Warriors. Terrible end of game execution. I still think OKC wins. I hate Boston, but they'll beat the Knicks in 6.

I know that missed dunk was terrible, he barely grazed him too.

They better not lose another game in OKC or else they will be in trouble because Denver is tough at home and they know how to win in the playoffs. Murray will always show up, Gordon is fine being a third option and he’s damn good. Jokić will get 40/20 if he has to. Amazing player.

Cleveland could be down several starters tonight. And I can't wait to see if Draymond tries to murder Rudy Gobert again.

Two epic games last night. These playoffs have been awesome.
They have been good for sure. Draymond already with two dumb techs in the first series. Let’s see if it continues lol.

When it comes to sports Idk if there is anything better than men's playoff/tournament basketball. FIBA/NCAA/NBA. Nothing better. Especially since it(NBA/NCAA) basically lasts from mid-March to mid-June.

Another great game with a fantastic finish.

Olympic finals
NHL game 7s

Both come to mind quickly. The last 1:00 of basketball games lasting 45 min greatly decreases the finish.

Well, Curry was cooking and was about to drop 50, but has a strained hammy. Hopefully, he’s out a game and that’s it.

Lmfao, they were literally neck and neck when he was playing for the 1st quarter. You could argue that Golden State actually was better without Curry in lmfao.

The score was 30-20 when Steph went out. Score might have been close in the first quarter, but he was heating up in the second. GSW was good enough last night, because they made it a rock fight.

So basically, Golden State is good enough to win playoff games without Steph Curry.

LeBron is good enough for Cleveland to be the worst team in the league when he leaves lol.
