The issues outlined in your post above are accurate. However, that is spanning over a 7-8 year period in which very few changes have been made to the gameplay. Even the loading/introduction screens are the exact same this year. There have been minor tweaks to the gameplay, but nothing too noticeable. Each year, EA is making very minimal changes to the actual game and throwing a new marketing gimmick behind the sales pitch. There are still very relevant glitches. Because it is the only college football game on the market, EA knows they can release an "updated" product with minimal changes and the masses are still going to purchase it. It is practically the same game from the seasons prior.thf24 said:I think the gameplay improvements, while not drastic enough to warrant purchase each year for everyone, are very noticeable over a span of several years. For instance, in my first game, Madden 2005, my biggest gripe was that the running game was pretty much useless because you'd frequently get brushed at a ridiculous angle by a defender and get sucked into an automatic tackle animation. Now, in NCAA 12, the the mechanics are fluid, resulting in a lot of broken tackles and being a lot more realistic-looking(from a physics perspective, not a graphics one). A huge difference I noticed from 2011 to 2012 was that the psychic defense was much less of an issue; option plays actually worked and DB's didn't make perfect swats while running full speed with their backs turned. This year, I heard that the freak middle linebacker that can react instantly to passes by jumping 10 feet in the air for the swat over the middle has been dealt with.
Like I said, I don't think it's worth it to buy the game every year, but I think it's definitely continuing to improve in more than just looks.
The game the past years is very user skill based. The best players, like myself, play with the FS, turn into the WR every time to make a user catch, user picks, audibles, shifting guys around pre-snap, it's actually pretty intelligent.<div>MSDawg34 said:If you take control of the receiver it's an automatic interception. Even on a jump ball with a foot height advantage for the WR. 98 DE can't break a 71 RT on a Hb toss to tackle the guy outside. It's stupid and not worth the absurdity.
