Looks good, but seems odd not to see WRH at the top. But after Friday night, I think this is the correct ranking. I still would pick WRH to win #3 in a row.

No disrespect to WM, but as Rick Flair would say " To be the man, you have to beat the man".

Yeah the Clinton team they lost to is loaded. I foresee them losing to Shelby in the 2AA state title game.

How is West Montgomery above WRH? Are we going of record or strength of schedule or Both!

I can't wait until WRH smacks any team that comes out the west...dead in the mouff...

Looks like they forfeited the TJ and Pine Lake games...which are losses they can't drop, so they would be 7-3 for seeding. Under current projections they would have the same record as North Duplin so it could cause a swap in MW1 and MW2.

MICS holds the better overall record over North Duplin so it changes nothing based on these projections

Based on the article. It was a expired physical based on a technicality. The new 395 physical rule was misinterpreted. The player never played in a game but based on that player suiting up during the time of the lapse the games was forfeited. Based on that MICS took it on the chin and paid the fine. In the big scheme of things the only ones it really hurts is BC.

This sucks for BC because they're the true conference champs. The only team that beat MICS in conference on the field.

Eh it to me it sounds like y'all were cheating against TJ and Pine Lake and rightfully were demoted to 5th place in the conference lol.

Whatever this does not bother us in the little bit. Who it really hurts is BC. The player didn't even play in a game so call it what you want. Nothing more than bulletin board material come playoff time. It doesn't effect the seeding either way and who cares how you finish in the conference if you didn't finish 1st.

Like I said before sorry for BC the real champs.

So are you saying that the NCHSAA's ruling against MICS is not legitimate? If the ruling is fair and consistent with previous rulings, then TJ deserves the win over MICS. Both TJ and Bessemer City by conference rules will be co-champions but for seeding purposes, TJ handily beat Bessemer City head to head (42-8, I believe). Ironically, it was the lack of adherence to NCHSAA policy by MICS that denied Bessemer City the outright conference championship.

What I'm saying is it doesn't effect MICS for playoffs. Yes it's legit MICS screwed up and misunderstood a new rule. They're paying the fine and gave up the games nothing more to it.

Hats off to TJ. It doesn't matter where you finished in conference play come playoff time. MICS has all players set and is ready for the playoffs.

I agree with that. But quit acting like you're sympathetic to BC just because y'all got smacked by them. Because y'all cheated against pine lake and TJ you lost and now TJ and BC are both conference champions. There's no arguing that.

I'm not acting anyway. Call it "cheating" or whatever. It is what it is. The reality of it is it didn't give MICS a clear advantage no matter how you spin it. The player never played a snap the entire season. Now if one of those players made a stat line I get it. Ride with the technical terms but TJ and PL know what it is. Out of all the stuff that MICS was accused of it comes down to a expired physical so be it. But rest assure that all the players that beat down TJ and PL "on the field" is still on the roster and highly motivated. They could have another shot at TJ and it will be settled then. PL is a complete mess and they need prayer to even get out the first round.

We take our hats off to TJ and BC. But our goal was never the conference championship. Playoff time!

Wow...where did that last comment come from? Don't know how Thrump came into the conversation. I don't know if I would call improper documentation of an old physical "cheating". Seems to me MICS has taken responsibility for the mistake and it is time to focus on the playoffs. Good luck to all of the teams!
