I agree with this. We may disagree with what order certain teams are listed, but every team included in the 13 has a stronger case for being there than Cape Fear does.

I think so. Since the two will not play this year, then it's a non-issue for me. In general, I look at the polls to see if I think the right teams are included, but there will always be disagreements as to what order they are ranked.

If two teams play, then it doesn't matter where they are ranked because they will settle it on the field.

If two teams do not play, well, then it really doesn't matter.

Overall, I think this poll is pretty good except for Mallard Creek being ranked #11. There's no way in heck that there are 10 teams in this state who can beat them, even when MC is having a bad night and is helping out all they can. MC on a good night is still hands down the best team in the state. MC on a bad night is still top 5. There's no doubt in my mind that half of teams listed in the top 10 here would pee down their legs if they looked across the line of scrimmage and saw MC standing there.

You are right about Mallard Creek, there probably still one of my favorites to win it all.

Make a tie. Slide them in lol I'm not sure. I'm not at all familiar with Garner. Anyone know how good they are this year?

I agree, CF may be a legit top 5-10 team but there is no way to know based on their scd. Who are you going to put them in front of? Maybe Hillside, Garner or LN. I would be ok with that but I am also ok with them right where they are.

Garner was #13 in the preseason Bakers dozen. Middle Creek didn't make the cut. I predicted Middle Creek would knock Garner out of it and they did. Now Garner has snuck back in at 13 while MC is 4th.
