I'm not the one that won't let it go.I went from Thursday night till Friday afternoon and said nothing but kept seeing one after another keep it going then I posted again. It is a dead horse as of now, I am letting it go as I have said my piece on it, so everyone do the same and drop it because I will not set by being put down please. 
I missed this and had to clear it up as a lie. I made one post on 1A Top-20 Power Rankings following Week 8 by Chris and that was the only post I made about it and I know you can search the whole site and only fine that one post on week 8. Now DROP the crap and lies .
Every time I read this guy's posts I picture a bug eyed man with foam spittle dripping from his mouth on his keyboard lol. TD, you take these forums WAAAY too seriously. Lighten up buddy, eat a slice of pie, and have a cigar. Its hard to have a bad day while you are eating pie!

Spoke to Deana. She is going to stick with an eight team poll for the remainder of this season to keep the uniformity in place. She took TD’s recommendations and complaints to heart and agrees that an eight team poll is not fair so beginning with the first poll if the 2020 season she will unveil the NC Preps “Nifty Nine” Poll. Congrats, TD.

Thanks to Deana for finally seeing the light and that Change is necessary. I only hope it’s not too late to cancel the banners, hats and t-shirts already in production.

how about maybe doing the mean 13 you know bakers dozen , it would be more politically correct kinda like a participation trophy for the ones after # 8 maybe or team might get a little love after eight ?

This poll is a farce ! If it had been anyone else that posted this narrow-minded poll, it would have gotten the same response that I gave it. But everyone wants to suck up to a Staff member, not an administrator as I thought she once was.
Deana does a great job on here no matter what her title is and a lot of hard work but as I said in that 3rd post, it was my opinion and mine alone. Then because it was Deana and not someone else that posted an 8 member poll so many attacked me that no one else would give their opinion. I know for a fact others had a problem with a poll that left out several other deserving teams. Deana, I am sorry I posted my opinion but as I said others did not understand such a small poll but so many all the far western teams that I said deserved to be in the poll. Deana your Bakers Dozen was already different so you didn't have to do something different. I said every year when people put your poll down that It always was more spot-on than some of the others. I just can't support it this year. When you have something good don't break it. Now everyone can start your idiotic post putting me down but I liked the Bakers Dozen that was different. Can't I have an opinion like everyone else ? If any staff member wants to be a part of posting on here then they open themselves to the same criticism as the rest of us. The issue is, you are complaining because the poll isn't large enough to include Mount Airy. That's why everyone is giving you a hard time. I'm still waiting for you to post your poll and where you think Mount Airy deserves to be.
If you knew the rivalry between Deana's Starmount and Mount Airy who she had (Starmount) at # 8 in her first poll and they are like 17 to 19 on other polls this week and Mount Airy is still 8,10 & 11 . Not saying they are below 14 but my ???? is still why a poll with only 8.I was always fair when doing the scores and if Mount Airy lost I posted it along with all the teams in the NWC,MVC & until the previous 2 years the WPC. And I did not think Starmount or Mount Airy were top 8 teams. Maybe 13 & 14. I will say it one more time. This is all about a poll of 8 compared to a Bakers Dozen and not where Mount Airy belongs. Someone thinks a larger poll should be seen because it is posted on NCPrep every week and has anyone seen Simmons rating and CPreps poll this week. Do I think they are right, NO but they have 10 or more and look like a traditional polls.

I think that most posters including myself think “Who cares it is just a poll”. My team isn’t in it but I am not screaming for a top 25! As for your earlier statement about defending Deana because of her working for NC preps, that is almost as ridiculous as you arguing over a poll (that holds no substance come playoff) because it has 8 teams and you don’t like it. Well I have never met Deana and probably wouldn’t know her if I did. My point is you are dead set on people agreeing with your opinion about someone else’s opinion! You are very passionate about your team and that is great but man pick your battles. If you don’t like the poll then don’t read it!
If I can I would just use the adjusted Max Preps Rankings as your poll. It is the only one that matters really. It actually lists every team from 1A-4A and will determine all playoff seeds other than conference champions and will even set their initial playoff spots. We just giving you a hard time TD and I have taken the same or worse in the past. I did se Mt. Airy a couple years back when they came to Avery for basketball and had a real good team. May have been 3 years now. Was a very good game. Avery was the higher seed but that did not determine the winner.

You are correct everyone has an opinion and I have the right to post whatever poll I want to. I told the reason was to change it a bit and be different. I’ve had the Baker’s Dozen and a Top 10.
it just a poll and doesn’t make a hill of beans about who is going to win. The reason the SMC has 3 teams is because they are the toughest 1A conference around and beat up on each other. I didn’t drop Swain due to a 1 point loss to Murphy.
I don’t hold grudges against anyone or any teams. I’m tired of it personally!

Lol I’ve been involved in polls since this site was started in 1998.
I do not have a problem with the elite 8 at all as everyone likes different things. That being said the bakers dozen was by far my favorite of any site. Personally I think it’s the perfect median as there are solid teams below number 8, but 25 starts to get into some pretty bad teams that can flip and flop any week. Not a problem with any of them just my personal favorite!
