Not their fault, but they played one of the weakest schedules in 4A.
There’s like 12 teams in the west playoffs, including Charlotte Catholic, with a worse schedule strength then ours (according to RPI). Yeah we really didn’t play the toughest but we did play a tough non conference. Our conference is very top heavy and like you said we can’t change that.
My opinion is not based off of the RPI, which I believe is highly flawed. CC played Providence Day, Hickory Ridge, Independence, and Butler. Those are some very good programs, which the RPI system is not detecting.
I’m not for a second saying we played a tougher schedule then all those teams, I just looked at RPI and yes it is flawed! I don’t look through rose colored glasses, I’m very realistic about our chances that’s why I keep saying beat AL Brown, then think about what’s next week. I know there are several teams better then us on paper, I’m not stupid, but things happen. One game at a time.
You're 100% correct. I don't believe there's no team in 4A that has an easy road. Have a bad quarter or 2, and you can be doing laundry. Wishing you guys an injury free journey throughout the playoffs.
That's why for me, this could be one of the most interesting playoffs we've had in awhile. Very balanced.
I just wish there was better NFHS network coverage with some of these games
Truly, all they need for me is to have someone man the cameras. I really don't need commentary, but for the love of god can someone please pay some kid $10 to film the game lol.
Be thankful for what we have. Just a few years ago we were rarely if ever able to stream a game in NC. But yes, it would be nice if the camera could follow the plays consistently!
Well they will probably beat AL Brown but that will be it

When you take an L at Shelby, you slaughter wild hogs and set the woods on fire outside of your doublewide trailer that you and your 1st cousin/girlfriend own. It's all good here in the Queen City. Taking L's once and a while builds character. It's a shame it didn't help you, with all the BEATDOWNS Shelby took this year.
