The irony being that many folks suggested Campbell early on as a good option...
To be fair to Kraft - are we allowed to do that? - I think the reports are they they spoke early in the process and it sounds like Campbell either shut it down completely or requested to not talk more until after the season ended. So it's possible that he wasn't a real option or open to the position until just recently.

Waiting for the much more important announcement - that Kraft has been fired. Because if he stays here he is going to see to it that this program becomes just as dirty and ****** as LSU, Miami, FSU, etc.

He would have been my first choice about 10 years ago. Wasn't my first choice at this time, but I'm cool with it (and a much better fit than Sitake). Considering the mess we've been through, I would be very happy if this is true. If so, welcome Matt Campbell. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Normally I would agree, but at this point he has a **** pile of work to do to get caught up. Hell, his task of sorting out our roster will keep him busy for a while. Then he has the portal and anybody who can be signed or flipped during the portal period. Not to mention gathering a staff, finding a home, etc... Im hoping he flew back with Kraft to get started.
