Google it yourself I did those were 2 that were available and posted that I saw. Regardless you payed 500,000 for Clifford for 3 receptions and 25 yards. Our wide receivers have been weak and non existent, guess im an idiot cause I would never have considered giving Clifford 500,000 or Deluca the same. Not taking anything from them but other teams with ambitions of a national championship would not have payed Deluca and Clifford 500,000 each to snag them if they would have been portal players.

Kraft can silence this by saying in his introduction that "there was a lot of speculation out there. When we started, Campbell made it clear that he would not talk to other schools during the season. Whereas it's true that we made a play for Sitake, Campbell and Smith were always in the picture. The timing of it had us in a position sooner with Sitake, we followed through with it. When it became obvious he was going to stay. We were fortunate that Coach Campbell was ready to talk." Or somethng like that.

There was a write up from Matt Fortuna on Twitter that Penn State reached out to Campbell at the beginning and bad information on how to contact him led to the requests never making it to him.and left the initial inquires unanswered. For what its worth.

Yeah, a lot is coming out over the last week on the different boards about how Franklin spent NIL. He had money to get a top receiver, but he wouldn’t spend it on one. He’d rather give it the Liam Clifford senior types. No offense to the guy, but he’s not a top receiver.

He's not even a good backup receiver. He's a depth piece you play when game is out of hand.

Twitter search Liam Clifford NIL. I believe BIG10BEYOND , he is writer for basic blues reported it think he worked for PennLive too. There are other posts underneath throwing out numbers for $50,000 for high school.recruits. Some numbers in the comments are just that. Ill have to find where J saw Deluca"s.

Recruits who signed with another team and want to come back, can enter the portal coming up. Plus late signees. Otherwise it’s standard portal players. Should be able to get some impact players with that big budget. Hopefully the staff will put it to good use.

I tried to find an answer to that but wasn’t able to do so. Can recruits who just signed a letter of intent on Wednesday enter the portal on January 2nd? For example could Sieg come back to Penn State via the portal next month if he wanted to do so?

I believe they can. They aren't enrolled in the school yet, but I dont see why they are different than any other player.

Plus isn't there a separate portal window during coaching changes? They should at least be eligible to portal during that period.

We'll see if this changes as it is being reported that Terry Smith is being retained by PSU in "a leadership position" and was part of the Campbell deal (I'm guessing some type of GM-equivalent role).
