That 10 win coach ran himself out of town when he decided to sulk and bail on his team after a tough loss. Instead of being thankful to the school that made he and his family multimillionaires, James is continuing to demonstrate what a douche he is.

Please note: The resulting disaster of a coaching search is a separate and distinct issue. No doubt, it has been seriously botched, but that narcissistic, ungrateful, time-management challenged, game day disaster of a cookie-eating clown had to go.

It is supposed to be Kraft’s search (😞), but I wonder to what the extent the well-heeled beautfiful people are in his ear. ”This guy, not that guy, do this, not that”, and all that horse-a$$.

Now that the college game is professional football it makes sense to hire a coach with professional experience who has experience juggling paid athletes and meeting their demands.

Daboll (sp?) did that in the NFL and at Bama. You could do a whole lot worse than hiring him.

Go get Houston’s coach. He’s 65 but looks healthy and in good shape. He could probably go 3-5 years. You hire an independent search group and a coach in waiting for his last year or two

This is up there with the worst AD botched mess I can think of. There is no way he can survive this. You don't fire a guy from a program like this mid season without a backup plan already in place. Its just not a desination job right now.

You can't tell me that the plan was to not have a coach in place for signing day.

He is a perfectly fine coach who has never recruited and has no contacts for a team that needs 50 portal players just to field a team. Don't care if he is Hank Stram. If you can't bring in players you lose.

Watching that dope standing on the field taking it in after his last game did it in for anyone with half a brain.

If Kraft was solely responsible for identifying, interviewing and deciding on a candidate then there is more blame to go around for this sorry state of affairs.

Most portal guys want money or playing time. We can give them both. If there’s somebody who is portaling to go play for Day or Lanning or Smart then we’re not hiring anyone who would steal that guy anyway.

From the beginning I raised doubts about Kraft's ability based on his previous selections of coaches which were not good. Now it appears barring some unforseen homerun hire, he will once again fail. If he does, then his time at PSU should come to an immediate end.

He recruited during the short time he was at Alabama. He also wouldn’t be doing it alone, he would most likely keep people like Terry Smith who have the regional knowledge and relationships. I don't want Daboll but he wouldn’t be the end of the world.

I really dont want Daboll. Prickly, I dont think hed be much of a recruiter, hate hiring guys just fired, even if in the NFL. Short temper with staff, a lot of dust ups, players didn't seem to respect him(see abdul) and worse of all, if he does have a modicum of success, you know he is dying to go to the league again. He could be a reasonable bridge candidate, but at that point, just go with Terry.
