I saw North Brunswick play South Columbus last Friday night and they looked like a well oiled machine! I just don’t see the Wildcats beating the Scorpions. Anyone have any thoughts on this game?

Whiteville outscored Hanover in the Jamboree and North beat the crap out of Whiteville so I”ll go with the Pack. It pains me to say that, lol. But I do realize that teams don’t always put forth their strongest players the whole game in Jamboree’s too, we’ll see. I’d love to go to that game, great atmosphere at North Brunswick.

Although anyone can offer a forecast, the most accurate one is that New Hanover defeated Butler by one. You cannot discount that significant victory. Whether it is determined by a forecast or a line, New Hanover will prevail.

I was at the South Columbus and North Brunswick game last week and the New Hanover coaches were behind me scouting. I asked if they thought they were going to defeat North and I got a quick ”yes” back. They seemed very confident they could win this game. I guess I may have been banking on the Jamboree game a little too much. But I do think it may be closer than some think

You don't usually see everything fromm teams at the Jamboree. Coaches are still testing personnel. It's a scrimmage!!!! That's why you don't put a bunch of stuff on tik tok!!! The Hanover kids probably decided that they will post on us like they did WRH. But really, 2 good teams battling in an intense atmosphere favors NHHS. They been there longer and have the pedigree. Good luck to both.

I agree with everything you said, dogg. But I”ve been going to those Jamboree’s for 30 years and LOTS of times you can get a good gauge on how good teams are, I think most of the time you can. This time it for sure did not let the “cat“ out of the bag as to how good Hanover is. I’ve watched South Columbus and Whiteville defeat all 4 of the Wilmington teams in some of the past Jamboree’s and it usually means that the 4A schools are in for a not so great year. I figured that this year would probably resemble that but it certainly did not. Like I said earlier though, the Hanover coaches were less than worried about winning this game when I asked them about it. Who is your school, dogg??

I’ve said for years that an average team can make a good team look great. NB has talent and that is for sure but they haven’t played a quality opponent until NH.

Did you go to game, Port?
I did not. I watched the beat down in Shallotte. NH is much improved from last season. They are generating points with their defense and special teams which is great but the offense better catchup because points on the other side of the ball will not always be there. I hope the NB QB is ok. There were a lot of injuries in the conference Friday. Laney had 2 RBs out. WB lost their best WR and RB Late in the 4th down 49-0.

Sounds like West Brunswick has hit hard times as well.
