I remember seeing him on that Elite11 show with Dilfer. I think he did well. I hope he wasn't the kid that broke down crying.

He was in the Under Armour game and was in the challenge. I remember him.

From Herman Edwards:
On three-star quarterback Zach Greenlee of Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln, a Fresno State commit --"He's got a little something to him. As the week went on, you could kind of see, okay, here's a guy. And the guys kind of like him. He's got a good personality."

From Scout:
Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln quarterback Zack Greenlee shined all spring and summer, earning MVP honors at the Las Vegas Elite 11 Regionals and was named to the Elite 11 Finals in Southern California. The Fresno State commit continues his year to remember with a selection to the UnderArmour All-America Game.

Another:
Zack Greenlee is one of the biggest sleeper quarterbacks out West. He had a big spring and summer, earning a spot in the Elite 11 QB Camp last July. He has gotten bigger physically and his arm strength has made a huge jump since his junior season.Greenlee spins the football very well, throws a nice deep ball and is accurate. He’s mobile enough to make that first guy miss and can scramble for 1st down yardage when necessary.

Greenlee was suprise standout at all of the camps, Elite 11 showcase, etc.

He has been a Fresno commit forever. If we pull him, all is forgiven for 17-ing up Dobbs and O'Korn.

What an enlightening statement from Herm. Here's a guy, and the other guys kind of like him. What great analysis!

West coast pro-style to go with all of these recvrs .... not a bad idea to back up Dak with a different look ... unless Dak is just as capable at playing a drop back passer which I think he could be if he had to ... it says we have already offered ... and no previous camp observations ... give the guy a shot at the SEC

WAIT!!! We're recruiting a DROP BACK QB???

Sounds like another flameout who will get homesick after 1 week of camp.

No, it is a bad idea if he's not a runner as well...

after Tyler we need ONE KIND OF OFFENSE and ONE KIND OF QB to go with that offense. Any other approach is not smart.

Fresno always pulls a QB out of their ***.

I wonder how far back his recruitment goes, and if Brew has his hands on this one. California? Who has that region?

Zach... Greenlee... all i can think is General Hospital!!

a lot have been comparing mullen recruiting to croom recruiting.

the difference when Mullen misses on a 2nd qb recruit, he stays after talented recruits.
Trent Dilfer: Zach has a top 5 arm in this years class, he just need someone to teach him feetwork

Croom if he signed 2, would just go get who ever was the next in line at camp until he found one ...never kept searching throughout the year and watching kids get better as the year progressed.

Considering the circumstances of O'Korn and Dobbs. I feel pretty lucky to get this kid on an official visit this weekend. Doesn't look like he has a great offer sheet, but a 3 star kid that has impressed some folks look like. He may not be the most mobile guy, but we cant really be picky at this point. Cant let him leave Starkville without a commitment.

Can someone explain to me how this kid only has one offer (before us)?

Did he grow up a Fresno State fan and commit in the 9th grade or something? I am mainly confused how a kid can be a 4 star on ESPN and play in the Under-Armour All American game yet only have one scholarship offer. Insights anyone?

Positive news, but I'm going to put our chances at about 1 in a million

I just don't see a Stockton,CA native spurning Fresno and a current commitment to travel across the country to play in Starkville, MS. I'm sure that the SEC is enticing, but I won't hold my breath on this one. Now that I think about it, has Mullen ever gotten anyone of significance to break a commitment?

I hope we get him

From what was said in the write ups (increased arm strength), he's still growing so he could turn into a good one with some good coaching.

They didn't mention how he is academically though.

This.

This kid would be a hell of a pull all things considered and at this point in the recruiting process. I just dont see it happening. I bet we end up with either the USM commit or offering someone a scholarship that should otherwise be offered a walk on spot.

Its amazing to me how badly Mullen seems to 17 up recruiting this position year in and year out.

I would agree with this. His twitter background is the Fresno football stadium. Be surprised if he decommitted all of a sudden, but im hopeful.

It's tougher to recruit nationally if you're not a big boy with a household name. We don't have that. Mullen and crew are working tirelessly to get a quality guy in here. It's a tough job.

Don't know, but we got a OG from a JC out there a couple of years ago by the name of Joey Trapp, who was invaluable to us.

Dillon Day, but he was from close by.

If the guy is visiting, then he's interested I suppose. Couldn't even get Dobbs and O'Korn to do that much.

at least the guy is taking the time and effort to come all the way from Cali to visit. A lot more than can be said for Dobbs or O'Korn.

Mullen pulled Archie Muniz from Utah this time a couple years ago. Hasn't done much at this point, but it was a nice steal.

He can grab, but the ones you all keep complaining about he can't flip are the Ramsey types. They don't choose MSU over USCw and Penn States. Of course, though.

I think we have a shot. It's going to be difficult with 2 guys here though.

He shouldn't come here then. The only QB I've seen with worse footwork than Russell was Relf. That's yet another indictment on Les.
