Thanks Wikki, I knew Amherst was #1 on the Lynchburg countdown so I posted early this morning before they had the link up.
It is really a great article. Thanks Wikki, I knew Amherst was #1 on the Lynchburg countdown so I posted early this morning before they had the link up.
I don't think they are either but they base it on last year. Since they were the state champs and JF lost key players. It is just WSET choice anyway.Appomattox is better than JF??
Both teams were state level last year, JF only returns 2 from that team, Appomattox lost a lot as well, but return a handful more. If they were to play each other it would be a heck of a game. I think Appomattox would be pretty competitive in the Seminole with Smith as coach. For the sake of the rankings I do think Appomattox will win more than JF so if you are just looking at W/L then Appomattox is probably justified to start the season ahead of JF based on projected wins and who should advance further through the playoffs. Appomattox in 2A will likely advance further than JF in 4A. Head to head might be a different story altogether though.Appomattox is better than JF??
And Amherst is ranked where they are because they return so many seniorsBoth teams were state level last year, JF only returns 2 from that team, Appomattox lost a lot as well, but return a handful more. And the fact that their losses were to Salem (14-0) 2×, Appomattox (15-0) & JF. (12-1)And Amherst is ranked where they are because they return so many seniors
