Sounds like it's a little weird there, but nothing that crosses a line. Might hurt recruiting a little that this got out. But mostly much ado about nothing.

Are players not supposed to throw up during workouts anymore?

7yo son was at Red Bulls summer camp last week in the extreme heat. On the 1st day he ran out of water and ended up puking at the end of the day (they had coolers to refill bottles but my son never said anything).

Coaches were casual at pickup "oh he ran out of water and puked."
We were casual "oh ok. Well make sure he refills tomorrow."
That was it.
He was fine and casual about it.

We told him "You're a real athlete now that you puked during training."

As a coach 99% of the people demanding more PT are parents demanding PT for their kids not the kids. Those parents are not millennials, they are Generation X and boomers.
Boomers 1946-1964
Gen x 1965-1980

59-74 years old
43 -58 years old

You think majority of parents with kids in sports are between 43-74 and in genX or boomers?

I doubt it

I'm in the middle of genX, my youngest is 23.
3 out of 4 in your groupings are older than I am.

Elder millennials are 42. The majority of high school parents are not millennials yet. They are mostly Gen X with a few on each end of boomers and millenials.

A guy I played hockey with used to say - “Yeah, there’s no I in team, but there’s a ME!” Needless to say, he was kind of doochey.
And its not true.. there is an "AM" and there's "TEA" .. but no "ME".. of course, he could make a "ME" by ripping the T-E-A-M apart... and "MEAT" as well.

Yeah.. that's what I thought.. there is some other nonsense going on.

One of Fleck’s players defended the program strongly.
“Everything that was said in that article is complete nonsense,” seventh-year senior wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell told SiriusXM.
We saw it here with GS. He came in, made changes people did not like.. the athletics haters saw a change in coaches as an opportunity to attack.. the people who liked the last regime found reasons to attack.. fans you knew and liked the old broadcast team, for example, that got replaced... they attacked GS...

..and they all found ways to justify the attacks on reasons that seemed to have nothing to do with them having preferred other candidates or preferred eliminating football or dropping down in class, etc.

ex-Tampa NFLers are STILL telling Schiano stories even this year! The last I read basically said something I saw Ohio State players complain about.. Schiano wanted them to execute assignments rather than do whatever they thought best once the ball was snapped! He wanted them to do things HIS WAY! OMG.. what a monster!

And that might be happening to PJ Fleck as well.

Combination of too soft and too easy to get payouts. Millennials set the table and GenZ is getting a full buffet
They are soft , whinny , selfish and not very bright . I see it every day ! Sorry if this pisses anyone off .

Regardless how this turns out, Fleck is still a giant douchebag who loves the cameras.

And expectations aren't terribly high, so he's got job security.

We would love to have his results. Granted he got lucky being in the west.

Fleck is a bigger clown than Franklin.

But you are right, the West is the definition of "average".
Clown to some, good coach to others.
He took over the Gophers in a time of turmoil for that program and
after one bad season had it winning again

His **** wouldn't fly in Iowa City.

Or should I say "float"?
Seeing how the Hawkeyes put up with their OC and the offense under him, PJ might not be welcome to replace the longtime HC there, but as a replacement his stuff might be good enough if he dumped sonny boy

I am talking the on field circus with Fleck.

Iowa's success has almost always been predicated on the performance of the defense.
You play football in November in the Midwest...you better have a very good defense.

And nearly every Iowa fan acknowledges that Brian Ferentz sux.

Actually Hayden Fry had some routines that seemed strange like holding hands coming out of locker-room on to the field.
Painting visitors looker-room pink was great, but could be considered a little strange.
Both just prove HCs have various ways to try and give their team an advantage along with looking for ways to motivate them.
If PJ proved a winner as the Hawkeye HC, his motivation tactics would be looked on favorably by Iowa fans while scorned by their rivals
