I dont think anyone is saying that. I think people are just putting their opinion out there which is what a message board is for.
2010 featured two guards a sf, a pf and a center. It was a more traditional starting lineup. You can't be serious. I like Grayson but he's not that important like you're making him out to be. He's a put you over the top player. A rotation with Duval, Jackson, Trent, White, Javin, Carter, Bolden, and Vrank is definitely enough. Reminds me of the 2010 roster as far as the numbers. 3 guards, a forward and 4 big men.
No you can't be serious. In the last 20 years, name all of the national champions that won the title without a good junior or senior guard? It doesn't happen. You can't be serious. With Grayson and Duval it makes Dukes offense less predictable. That's a slasher and passer in Duval and You know what to get from Grayson throw in Jackson or White or Trent with Bolden and Carter in the front court that's five that can defend and five that can score.
If you don't have chemistry it isn't gonna matter who comes back

Im just saying that you need experience and leadership to win a title. Grayson has his issues but I would call what he did in the title game leadership. Winning a title with literally no upperclassmen would be a first. You can agree with that right?Grayson is not the make-or-break player for next year. We will definitely be able to survive without him. Duval is the guy we ABSOLUTELY NEED. If it came down to choosing out of those two, it's Duval. Grayson is not a point guard. I don't see much of a difference between he and Frank. Frank is better defensively and he will only get better offensively. If Grayson was a leader than maybe you have a point about that jr or sr guard. But he isn't a leader. He's been great the last two years but if he leaves it really won't affect much in my eyes. No Grayson equals a better Frank.

Senior Darius Miller averaged 10 points a game. What else you got?UK in 2012 with freshman Teague at PG and sophomore Lamb at SG

It may be hard but anything can happen. They didn't think the one and dones would win championships as the focal points. I just believe a true point guard no matter the age can lead the team. Duval is the one that will make it go especially if the big men are the primary focus.
Ive only watched Duval play once outside the McDonald's game and that was in the Dick's sporting invitational. He seemed bothered and got into foul trouble and his game was off. You need a returning player with experience especially one who won a championship as a freshman and really helped win it. Duval is a need for a floor general but Duke does have Jackson who will be a pg in the league. It would be as close to traditional as possible though. Trent is strong and long enough to guard the 3 when Jack is not out there. That low post will be deadly on defense though. When you have those two downlow you can put more pressure on the ball. We were putting pressure on the ball with no big men before, which was just retarded to me. Grayson isn't the make or break person like some are making him out to be. Getting Duval is more important than keeping Grayson
Preach it Reverend Dukehokie!!I say we need a little bit of both. Talent, senior leadership, rebounding. There's no singular "need". This team needs a lot of help, including Jesus the way this season ended.
Your username is appropriate. You're so mundane that no one notices you. Also you make a high pitch noise and lack any real power. Just leave. That's who I would want to be my leader
Because we don't have a point guard.Curious on how you feel k can sell Duvall to come to duke given the top guards you have already.
Yes, I know that but allen has been your pg the last 3 years, if you were to land Duvall who is a hell of a player, do you see k sitting allen with him being a senior? Btw Jackson is good but Gary Trent is the truth kid is gonna be a studBecause we don't have a point guard.

You're right my fault, he broke out in 2015. But the question remains he has been your pg the last TWO years even though he isn't a pg. I'm only speculating, but I see Trent coming off the bench if you were to get Duvall and start a 3 guard line up. I think Trent can easily play the two or the three and if allen falls back into his old ways(no disrespect)! I could see Trent, Jackson and if you land him Duvall playing the point since he is a true pg. problem is, he's possibly Terrance feeguson 2.0 and you know the toupee is doing everything he can to get him to Kansas. They already have Preston who is very questionable at this point, and Duvall may not even play college ball. Plus with graham and Newman ready to play it puts them in a tough spot as well since Newman is clearly a sg and graham could step in and play point. It will be interesting to see where Duvall ends up in college or overseas for a yearLast 3 years? 2015 was Tyus Jones, Matt Jones/Thornton/Allen, 2017 was Allen/Jones/Jackson.

Allen plays better off the ball as a secondary ball handler. He hasn't been Dukes pg until this past season. Duval would have the keys but you are probably right about the three guard lineup especially given if Allen returnsYou're right my fault, he broke out in 2015. Baller speaks the truthGrayson stays, Duval & Knox committ... calm down. Life is good.
I think you guys will be better next yr. I think the super team hype hurt you like it did USB in 2015. Especially since Tatum is gone. The guy played for himself most of the time to increase his draft stock rather than the team and I'm sure it frustrated the hell out of you guys. Don't get me wrong he was a good player but if he shot outside of 15 feet he couldn't hit anything and was always trying to be the hero. Just like briscoe did a lot for us. Luke should of always been the guy taking the big shots not Tatum. I really liked kennard and would of loved to have him at uk.

I agree with him to an extent, at least for the first half of the season.Your Tatum assessment is embarrassingly bad. Save that stuff for a non-Duke site, where it doesn't matter if you are clueless.
