That 2nd half may have been the single most dominant performance I've seen out of the team in a very long time. We outscored them 12-4, Dugenio was a monster at FO and Kirst was a total brick wall. I thought we would beat Harvard, I didn't think we would murder them. We have bigger fish to fry as Penn is our next victim.

I think I understand why we can’t play our entire schedule at Yurcak but couldn’t we play our late season home games there?

We could, but over the last several years, we’ve been dominant in SHI stadium. You don’t want to mess with that. And with our style of play, grass is not ideal. Turf maximizes our NASCAR offense. Plus the stadium has some bells and whistles that Yurcak lacks.

However seeing the atmosphere at Yucak today should make the drumbeat louder for a lax-only Stadium. If we build anything close to what is being discussed, it would immediately become the best home environment in lacrosse bar none.

Based on what I've seen thus far, my Final Four is Maryland, Princeton, Rutgers, and Georgetown.

I wonder when they will announce what time we play on Saturday
It'll either be noon or 2:30. I'm already annoyed that Penn will have one more full day of rest than us. Team needs to hydrate this week as we are expected to possibly crack 90 degrees for the first time all year next weekend.

Blown away today. The team delivered an absolute masterpiece. The D tightened the screws and Colin was a brick wall. He stole numerous goals. Kids played their asses off.

Big hats off to the fans and NJ. They really showed out to see what turned into a Rutgers party. That was the largest crowd for an NCAA first round game since 2003.

NJ is a lacrosse state. It’s no longer emerging. It’s here, now.

I’ve watched a lot of Rutgers lacrosse. This game, today, is one of the most memorable.

Lastly, Ross Scott. Not sure what you even say about that kid. 8 goals in an NCAA playoff game. That’s record book stuff. Just incredible.

Yurcak looked like a field of dreams. What a day.

Been away all day. Can’t wait to see the video replay.
Daughter went to Penn. Grand kids have split allegiance. This should be fun.
Ron Yurcak was a classmate of mine. All American lacrosse player, decorated Vietnam vet, worked in the world of high finance ( started with Ross Perot)and died way too young of a heart attack.

Would this type of performance beat MD? :)

One guy just spent a minute trashing our season- didn't play anyone, got blown out by MD twice, blah, blah, blah. Had to be checked by the other guy, who properly pointed out MD blew everyone out and our loss was back in March.

I think I've listened to this crew twice now and I've heard the same lame, lazy Bruce and pumping gas references both times.
Didn't dwell on losses. Infact I thought he was deft when couching losses to Md, and princeton, Bruce references were toss aways for those out of staters watching. I'm sick of Bruce and Soprano references, but I have thick skin. RU is getting national recognition. whatevvvvvuh.

With regard to the tv production what was with all the shots of body builder who was not wearing his shirt? Seemed a bit strange after the second or third shot.

We have no excuses this year. Every team in our way is extremely beatable through to the finals. Penn/GT/Cornell are all good but not great teams. If we want to be great these are the teams we need to beat. Maryland is another story but man how would I love to meet them for the third time for a NC.

Penn has been playing with fire with so many close games. I wonder if they're due to get burned. Wonder what the line will be on the betting websites.

It's official. RU vs Penn at noon on Saturday at Hofstra. Stay hydrated as it'll be pushing 90 degrees next weekend.

That bodes well for us. If Penn has an achilles heel, and they definitely do, one of them is they play a very short bench.

They play essentially one midfield. Their big guy coming out of the box is the guy. Stop him from running downhill.

Rall on him is going to be a battle. Rall is smaller but he's cat quick and strong for his size. This team can be beat.

Color me not impressed with Georgetown. Only 8 goals vs 15 seed Delaware in the 4th quarter? They're gonna need to score more than that to beat Cornell next week.
