Can’t argue about the end result … Elite 8 is great … now take another step forward and get another RU team into a Final 4
We could, but over the last several years, we’ve been dominant in SHI stadium. You don’t want to mess with that. And with our style of play, grass is not ideal. Turf maximizes our NASCAR offense. Plus the stadium has some bells and whistles that Yurcak lacks.I think I understand why we can’t play our entire schedule at Yurcak but couldn’t we play our late season home games there?
It'll either be noon or 2:30. I'm already annoyed that Penn will have one more full day of rest than us. Team needs to hydrate this week as we are expected to possibly crack 90 degrees for the first time all year next weekend.I wonder when they will announce what time we play on Saturday
Ross Scott.. what a performance
Dugenio was a monster at FO today as well.Along with Kirst.
Would this type of performance beat MD?Blown away today. The team delivered an absolute masterpiece. The D tightened the screws and Colin was a brick wall. He stole numerous goals. Kids played their asses off.
Big hats off to the fans and NJ. They really showed out to see what turned into a Rutgers party. That was the largest crowd for an NCAA first round game since 2003.
NJ is a lacrosse state. It’s no longer emerging. It’s here, now.
I’ve watched a lot of Rutgers lacrosse. This game, today, is one of the most memorable.
Lastly, Ross Scott. Not sure what you even say about that kid. 8 goals in an NCAA playoff game. That’s record book stuff. Just incredible.
Yurcak looked like a field of dreams. What a day.
If we play like we did in the second half for a full game? Winning faceoffs like that? Let’s find out!Would this type of performance beat MD?![]()
Very happy for the Kirst family as well. His family is still very much involved with the program
Let’s beat Penn first. If we play like we did in the second half for a full game? Winning faceoffs like that? Let’s find out!
If they pull the upset, I wouldn't be shocked if we draw 3 Ivies in a row potentially (Harvard in Round 1, Penn in the Elite 8, and Cornell in the Final Four).Delaware jumps out to a 2-0 lead on Georgetown. Start of game was delayed 45 minutes
Didn't dwell on losses. Infact I thought he was deft when couching losses to Md, and princeton, Bruce references were toss aways for those out of staters watching. I'm sick of Bruce and Soprano references, but I have thick skin. RU is getting national recognition. whatevvvvvuh. One guy just spent a minute trashing our season- didn't play anyone, got blown out by MD twice, blah, blah, blah. Had to be checked by the other guy, who properly pointed out MD blew everyone out and our loss was back in March.
I think I've listened to this crew twice now and I've heard the same lame, lazy Bruce and pumping gas references both times.
Dugenio was a monster at FO today as well.
With regard to the tv production what was with all the shots of body builder who was not wearing his shirt? Seemed a bit strange after the second or third shot.
I could see Cornell taking them out if they get past Delaware. Playing in the BE ain't like playing in the IVY/B1G/ACC.Georgetown is very good but they are very beatable. Maryland they are not.
He's a Rutgers lax alum. As were all the guys around him. He's awesome.
Would have made more sense of the guys working the game made the connection unless I missed it.He's a Rutgers lax alum. As were all the guys around him. He's awesome.
I had a pleasure meeting his daughter (one of them if he has more than one) years ago at the computer lab on College Avenue when I was in college and hung out once or twice. She was very nice, so I can see the family being the same. His family is still very much involved with the program
Penn has been playing with fire with so many close games. I wonder if they're due to get burned. Wonder what the line will be on the betting websites. We have no excuses this year. Every team in our way is extremely beatable through to the finals. Penn/GT/Cornell are all good but not great teams. If we want to be great these are the teams we need to beat. Maryland is another story but man how would I love to meet them for the third time for a NC.
It's official. RU vs Penn at noon on Saturday at Hofstra. Stay hydrated as it'll be pushing 90 degrees next weekend.
