Big win for those two last night!

I bet 10 on Monroe straight up, wish I would have bet more.
As much as I loved the teams that Rich put on the field and the way he handled the players - yeah I know too rough for the young ladies these days, but whatever. Rich the man is done in West Virginia. You don't say those things about West Virginia and ever expect to be forgiven. Neal Brown is finding out all about that now after his Marxist Display on High Street.

Terry Bowden has one serious problem for WVU, he is old. He is 65 now and that is an age when a lot of coaches are thinking about getting out, not starting a new career as a Head Coach. Still, I think he would be better than Bill, Dana or Neal and WVU all but had him signed as Rich's replacement after the Fiesta Bowl until Pastilong and Manchin got into a group hug and went cheap and stupid respectively and hired Bill.

The only thing Terry Bowden could do for us is now restore confidence with the fans, clean up the wokeness in the program and recruit and develop new talent - we do not have one player that would start as a 1st string on any B-12 team and that includes Kansas.

Stills would start at most schools in the big 12 and we have quite a few others as well. Terry Bowden was washed up at the time Rich left. if Bowden was so great then why did he end up at Akron. Every coach in the country would have handled the vic situation the way Brown did. The only cleaning up wvu needs to do is getting rid of dumba$$ fans like yourself.

Excellent, quality win for them. Liberty and Hugh Freeze are a good match together. Looks like LM has beat Liberty and Troy all in Rich Rod's first year. Looks like he's still got it, especially to pull off those upsets at a school like ULM.

We shall have to disagree on all of your points. To be honest, I have never seen one thing you posted that struck me as even remotely accurate or insightful.

Rich did excellent for WVU, better than nearly every coach the Mountaineers had. Terry Bowden did better at Akron than any coach had done in decades because the Zips are a mess when it comes to football. Neal Brown did an excellent job against a TCU team with a terrible defense. Iowa State, fresh from knocking off unbeaten & #8 Oklahoma State, will be a far bigger mountain to climb this coming Saturday. But I'll be there in Mountaineer Field with my 2 season tickets, as I have been for more than 30 years. It's my alma mater. I believe in being loyal to WVU, my family, my friends and my country.

Those who diss Terry Bowden should read ESPN’s David Hale’s assessment of Terry, head coach at Louisiana-Lemon Monroe with former WVU coach Rich Rodriguez as his offensive coordinator:

Coach of the Year
You might think Kirby Smart or Luke Fickell or even Lincoln Riley deserves recognition as the country's best coach, but any of them is, at best, a distant second. The winner, hands down, should be Louisiana-Monroe's Terry Bowden.
How good is Bowden?
Well, it goes without saying he has done a remarkable job for the Warhawks. In 2020, ULM finished 0-10, outscored by more than 25 points per game on average. After Bowden took over this year, however, the Warhawks are playing good football. They've already beaten Deion Sanders' Jackson State and Hugh Freeze's Liberty; and on Saturday, as two-TD underdogs, they beat South Alabama by 10. ULM is 4-3, better than .500 this late in the season for the first time since 2018.
Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg on Bowden's impact.
For the previous two years, Bowden served as an unpaid graduate assistant at Clemson, where he was pursuing a master's degree. During those two years, Clemson was a combined 24-3 with two playoff appearances. This year, Bowden is gone, and the Tigers are a mess. Coincidence? We think not.
