I personally will be SHOCKED, if Flynn isn't named the head coach. He is the one who directed that high scoring ND offense. What surprises me though, is Holcomb is leaving behind a team that will certainly contend for the 2AA state title in 2017.
How many incoming kids to ND or rising 10th graders will head to Oak Grove from North Davidson or enroll at Oak Grove instead of North Davidson now?
Never a good time to leave, never easy to leave a place you nearly spent your whole life at. I am sure he would have like to coached this team, but all the Midway kids will not be there in a couple of years. Do not know what Ledford kids they might get, but they have some good ones. The tradeoff, you might be talking about this school in a few years contending for the title.
1whoknows hit the nail on the head. given the pool that the new high school will pull from, it is the best long term play in that area of the county. in 5years, Oak Grove will be a top tier program in most sports at the state level in 2A.
