Mentioned in the WC game thread that MC was limited. This is only slightly surprising. Havent seem stats but i venture to say NM stopped the run and MC still cant pass.

Mc most overrated team in NC. Can't run or pass. They look lost. What has happened?

They should finish 4-4 this year. Don’t know how this impacts them going forward

It's a pretty simple equation. They made a decision to go outside not only Creek but also Meck County with their coaching decision. By all accounts Tinsley and his team are good dudes and good coaches but it matters little if your top players are rolling out to your competition. Saban doesn't win with play calling he wins cause his dudes are WAY better than yours. So did Palmieri.

Everytime you lose a game like last night confidence erodes and parents become frustrated because it never has anything to do with their child's play. It's ALWAYS THE COACHES.

MC dresses a ton of kids[ nearly double North Meck] and there is talent but it only takes 4 or 5 talented kids to jump and combine it with injuries and you become average quick. Nobody is patient anymore....win or I'm gone. Just reality and while I don't have any inside info I am betting their are parents making exit plans while I type this.

Ebbs and Flows, just like every other program in NC.
They have never considered themselves “like every other program”. I remember the days they use to call everyone mediocre on here, all while they considered themselves world beaters. Look at them now, they never thought they would meet the silent monster.

Heck you barely see them boasting and pounding their chest.

Now they are eating those exact words and swallowing the painful pill with H2O.

Yeah, it happened at Page recently. A few problems compounded and 4 of Page's best offensive starting players transferred to Grimsley and Dudley. Tinsley is a good coach, albeit young, he is still only 35/36 years old. He took a very average SE Guilford program and made them into something. I think MC is going to go through some of the motions. But after a couple more years the Mavs will be fine. Patience pays off.

Confidence in your team is normal. But everyone knew there were teams in NC that could compete with them, don't make me bring up a certain year 😜

You can bring up anything you want, but it’s still not going to fix the current situation

They are clipped!

This is a tough loss for Mavs but let’s be realistic- A lot of players left to Vance, Hough, MP n others and they lost a ton from graduation last season. They are Very young with prob a handful of seniors so How many teams do you know wins with very young players on varsity level not many.

I think it will take a few years to rebound but let’s not act we haven’t seen this before with Indy and butler n now creek - RN the top Dawg is Chambers

It only happened with Indy. Although Butler hasn’t won the Ship, they would still beat 90% of the teams in the State. The University(Mallard Creek) area is loaded with talent. Highland Creek. Is one of the largest subdivisions in the State. Over 13,000 residents. 85% of that area is zoned for the Creek. 4 new Apt complexes within a mile away from the school. New staff Keep players from transferring, and get parents to buy in. Develop the talent. It’s business as usual. If any team in the State loses 11 starters to other programs. Rather it’s Richmond, Chamber’s, Hough,AK, East Meck, Butler, or Indy. They most likely shouldn’t appear in anyone’s ranking. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Butler has been “down” they don’t have the same numbers hence the 4A in the spring (which they let a title slip away). Mallard Creek has numbers hopefully they can keep the talent home. The fact that Hough and Chambers are in the same conference makes it difficult.

I called the game against Grimsley for the NFHS network last year. Butler was not down. They dominated Grimsley the 1st half.(they did let it slip away) They will be a problem for any program in the State. I'm looking at their roster provided to me before the Richmond game. Over 60+players. What number would be considered up or down?

When i say “down”, i mean not a favorite to win the title. If things fall their way they have a shot. Butler doesn’t have the same talent like they had from 2008-2013. They have lower adm than when i went their back in 2003. They aren’t as deep as the Houghs and the Chambers and even MC. MC loses a bunch of quality starters to other schools and can still finish the year .500. Not sure Butler could withstand that.
