We started off with 2 turnovers and it was an uphill battle from there. Rhone and Davis compliment each other well. Amazed that they both play on defense too. We could learn from that. Let the players play. Good luck to the Comets. They are the real deal.

Best team from four counties that the coaching staff could recruit. They should be good. See what happens to the Comets next season. Damn shame that football in NC has come to this.
I was at this game , north Rowan got caught up in a slew of turn overs early and got hit in The mouth to start the second half, laid down after that. Not impressed with coaching staffs on both sides of the field. North Stanly has 2 solid running backs in Rhône and Davis , good size up front and Clark is a beast. Now for some real talk. I think If north goes east then they loose to tarboro by a lot , they get out coached by a mile and they don’t throw it enuff to open up there explosive running game. North Rowan was ranked to high in my opinion. If North Stanly comes West I see some good games , haven’t seen Thomas Jefferson or Mitchell so I can’t comment there, but I see a Murphy, East Surry and Mt Airy being tuff match ups for the comets. Murphy being better coached and a little better at what they do than North. East and Mt Airy are both very balanced within there offense. Gotta be able to stop Rhône and Davis which is a chore for any team and block Davis. I think I just wasn’t impressed with North Rowan, bout the only thing they had going last night was that little clap in the cadence the qb had and the dance team in the band. Playoffs gonna be fun, would love to see the comets come to the granite city or cardinal country , both have there own dynamics to offer
Here is my opinion Cameron Davis is a heck of a football player. However without Rhône this team is not what it is. Yes you have to account for Davis with one guy to spy him, with Rhône you better have a couple to jump on him because he runs hard physical and he is a monster. Rhône is a D1 back with the talent I seen out of north stanly if they are not competing for a state title it’s a shame.
I don’t know why you are always against North Stanly but you always bring up the recruiting. In case you don’t know this. Players want to play in winning program. It was Albe back in the day, it was West mont back in the day. If a kid transfers in because he sees a chance to take a class to better his education that’s ok. But if a football players transfers from a school to get better chance in football to be noticed by colleges it’s not ok. Get off the Comets. I have seen what they are doing and it’s all for the better to each kid. That’s what matters.
Having seen but I was not surprised at all. North Stanly has difference makers offensively in Davis, Rhône and rush, is very good defensively, and a kicker who puts the ball in the end zone in every kickoff and that can really kick some field goals. They are well coached as well. They could have easily beat Murphy last year and probably should have. But I’m the 4th quarter you could tell Murphy had been there and expected to win. And the Dogs put together a beautiful drive. We will see if North Stanly learned from that.
And to add to that. I know some there coaches and they are not recruiting anyone. Smh.

Maybe I caught them on the wrong night against an over rated teAm , I left after the 3rd , had to work today so I didn’t see the highlight real in the 4th quarter. Not taking anything away from either , both are different type backs. My take is the comets are 1 dimensional with a hell of a running game with two GREAT BACKS. There griddie I said great

Maybe a fashion show with the gold sneakers, but if he is forced to throw it against a team with a decent secondary then he’s gonna have a very long night. Your credibility just went away. Not one single person on this board doesn't know the efforts that the "friends" of the North Stanly team haven't been reaching out to players from surrounding schools. The proof is on their team.

Let me remind you of something. North Stanly has TWO playoff wins in the 50 some year history of the school. They recruited players for this season. Next season they will be as insignificant as they have always been. So take that "winning" theory and shove it. What they did and what the coaching staff has allowed to happen is a display of poor sportsmanship. It's the system that the NCHSAA has allowed and it will ruin high school sports.

Most had NS losing to North Rowan by 2 TD. Now all I’m hearing is they are overrated and not good. But most had them playing in Mayberry for reg finals. I hope everyone keeps doubting NS my old school Maybe They just keep winning. It’s seems to give them

I am not a North Stanly fan but I was one of the few that said after they lost at East Rowan they would still win the conference . I knew they had a very good nucleus returning from last year plus the addition of Rhone and the starting quarterback from West Stanly made them conference favorites. I don’t know if North Rowan is over rated or they just got down after all the early turnovers and kind of quit.I still think they can make a run in n the playoffs and win several games. I also think North Stanly can make a playoff run but might have trouble on the road at Mt. Airy.If they get to play Tarboro and somehow beat Tarboro that would be the biggest upset since David defeated Goliath.No matter what they do this will go down as the best team ever at North Stanly.

North Rowan has a ton of talent also. I think they can make a great run. If the brackets favor them. I don’t think anyone wants to travel to Murphy from that area. The bus ride alone will wear you out. Logistics is a nightmare. The same with them having to travel this way towards us.

Without the penalties, North Stanly would have scored 60. North Rowan was just not on their game. How can they play West Rowan so close and lose by 35 to NS? IDK.... I think both are 3rd round teams...regardless. I have one other opinion...The receiver for NS....Rush....is as good as any... If he gets a few more touches, NS can hang around to the 4th round with their offensive balance.
As for recruiting...any kid can move and attend where he lives. That is a dead horse. North has built a nice program under coach Criscoe. They lost Antonio Williams and actually improved. NOBODY would have predicted that.

How would the game have turned out if North Rowan had not turned the ball over in their first two possessions? We will never know but turnovers and penalties are a part of the game and of the two I think I would take the penalties over the turn overs. North Stanly can't have that many penalties once the playoffs begin if they want to go far in them. North Stanly had a good team returning from last year but adding an experienced quarterback and Rhone made them a great team. To me Rhone is their MVP as a running back, defensive back, and a return man.Teams have to stop two very good backs now instead of one.
The West Stanly QB left because they were changing the offense this year reducing his impact greatly, and his family could make the move legitimately to North. He would have never moved if Morman was still at West.
According to the stats he throws the ball less than 10 times per game and averages 60 yards passing per game. He had to know that he would be handing the ball to Davis and throwing very minimal. He would have had more of an impact at WS. According to the SNAP WS Qb had three rushing tds last week and threw threw two the week before. I guess the parents wanted him to ride Cameron Davis's coat tails and make him a Winner. I am not buying any of that garbage. He was recruited. Along with, Rhone, Emory and a bunch of others from stanly county. The truth hurts.
There is much more to a player/coach/team relationship than stats. He left on his own accord.

Providence Day has some talented players but are weak at some positions and lack depth. They also had several players looking tonleave the program in the two weeks prior to the North game with one returning to his home district public. At least two other big time players were actually visiting practice st other schools.
The most impressive performances on paper for me are the Northwest Cabarrus loss and the North Rowan win. NWC is a very young team but they are solid and to lose by four to then is a string performance.

North Stanly also picked up a couple from Cabarrus County as well. I have to give it to their coaching staff. They may not be able to manage in game situations or make the right calls. But they damn sure can assemble some talent. They have a possibility of 5 D1 players on a 1AA team. I would love to know if that has ever happened before and the team not make it past the 3rd round? And the 3rd round appearance will be impressive if they make it. Funny you don't see a single NS supporter on here disputing anything that is being said. You know why? They KNOW it's the truth.
