Never thought I would live to say this , but NS will run wild over my bulldogs. They are to big athletic and fast for us to contend with. We have a bunch of freshmen that are afraid of contact. Why even play football if you are afraid of contact. ?????? Jacobi will have a field day. The game will be over by halftime and we will see a running clock in the second half. It pains me to say this but it is reality. However as long as there is an AHS and we field a football team I will be there, even in poor health. Love my Bulldogs. Go Dogs.......

62-0 North Stanly over Albemarle. I think for North it has been a long time coming to really put a whooping on us. This time, I don't think that they will ease up on us.
North Stanly isn't great by any stretch of the imagination. In my opinion they are an average 1a football team. With all that said NS wins by 60 with a running clock starting the 3rd quarter. 42-0 at half.
North got the vanilla playbook Friday night vs. West....Lots of eagle fans in the stands. However, North will be able to dictate whatever they want against AHS. This team isn't built for next season or the next. Call it like it is folks....AHS is the new Chatham Central of the YVC....
Head coach was there too. He and his asst left the stands at halftime. Don't know if they left the game.
Going to the game tomorrow night. Rain or shine. Cancer is kicking my butt but I am fighting back with all I have. Don't want to miss a game as long as I am able. Love my bulldogs even in times like this. Go dogs.......

Buddy...I will miss watching the game with the club. They've got bouncy houses and stuff at West this week...and "momma" says we are taking the grandbaby to that game. It isn't the same. Their no class club doesn't curse or boo or anything. Sad...

No, I am not joking. 7:41 left in 2q. 21-0. It should be worse. NS has had a lot of penalties. It will get bad fast. Our rb from last year Emory has two tds.
IF you have a good punter, a third down punt is a good strategy...no return, element of surprise, good field position...
I sense sarcasm... if you are down 21-0 punting on 3rd down is just as good as flying the white flag.

My take on the game. Congrads to NS on the win. If not for penatlies and NS being very undisciplined the score would have been much worse. So far I have refrained from bashing the coach but we got a delay of game penalty at the start of the second half for not having our team out on the field. There is NO, NO excuse for this coach. This is a very bad Albemarle team. Reminds me of the 80's. I think the kids just want the season to be over. Can't say as I blame them..Anyway I made the game and enjoyed talking to a few of the NCC members. We mostly talked about the good old days..Not much else to say. I think we have our only win of the season. Be interesting to see what next year brings ??????????????

This is worse than the late 70s and early 80s. We played some very good Teams back then. We don't play in the SPC 3A anymore
The biggest problem I have with this season, besides the fact that we have had a running clock with every team accept SD, but we have gotten worse. I wanted to see improvements. I have seen none.
Hang in there Buddy. Best of luck to you and we are all pulling for you. No way the NCC should have to deal with a punt on 3rd down. I rib y'all to the ends of the earth but I for one didn't think it was to the point of just showing up not to forfeit. Nothing but respect for you and the old ways of AHS. The win at all cost and run the damn score up was a thing of beauty. Sad to say that AHS probably will never see those days again. But, you should rally the troops and go out with a bang and demand an answer from the current NS coaching staff that is at AHS. Seems like they could be the ones directing the talent to NS....???
I have been scalded for my comments on the coach selection since it happened. I wasn't trying to be a bad sport for my team. I knew what was going to happen.
You called it like it you saw it. Nation should come on here with his hat in his hand and apologize. I truly hate it for the way this season has played out. Y'all deserved better. Judging from the way things are heading it honestly looks like the days of AHS football are gone. Nation you are being called out. You owe her an apology and you should make one.
Got him..... He may show up but as far as his two year plan I think we all know that's a pipe dream. West Stanly has it going on in Stanly County as far as two-three years down the road. Nation has no leg to stand on. He predicted two - three wins. I predict a running clock. Nation had a lot of opinions and most were politically driven. Veiled, but politically driven. Now the rubber has met the asphalt and where is he? I'm guessing he's going to blame it on some political conspiracy.
If a team is in a running clock against your arch rival that is a little better than average 1A team it is a multitude of reasons and it is bad.
Regarding coaching selections it was made evident last year that the plan was for a coach that could fit into a teaching slot being much more important than winning football. I still think Jim Mason is a good coach and a very knowledgeable X and O guy but you have to have something to work with. It has hard to do a lot when you are getting crushed every week. They had the guy who was committed and wanted to be in Albemarle. It has been discussed. The basically $12k needed would have been more than made up for when considering the money lost at the gate and concessions. Regardless of what one poster has written there was not an A list of people clamoring for the job and even if there would have been not sure he would have got the job.
One of the greatest to walk a sideline in NC, a son of Albemarle, told me that having s principal that supports football is a very important key to success. In this case I think it is much bigger than the principal.

West Montgomery had a person in place that submarined the program for 2+ years. He had a vendetta. He continued to do the same thing years after his plan started. The year that West Montgomery had to forfeit was because of this person. He felt slighted that his program was overshadowed by the football team. Needless to say it was all on him that the team had to forfeit the wins and he wasn't even on the football coaching staff. AHS has obviously come to that crossroads. Hire NS coaches and the best players from AHS leave for NS......
