This will probably be the only time that Mount Airy and North Stokes enter the first game of conference play at Wallace Wade Stadium with the same record of 4 wins and two losses. What is the thoughts on this game.

It won't be close. North Stokes will put up a good fight and scrap until the final whistle but Mount Airy will get back on track this week.

Mount Airy has played North Stokes sense the 1970s and Noth Stokes has only managed to win one game which was around the mid-1990s several years before Kelly Holder took over.

Smith will run wild again. Stroup and Penn will see end zone in a 30+ point blow out. North Stokes is getting better though and it is good for our conference.

Mount Airy has played North Stokes sense the 1960s and Noth Stokes has only managed to win one game which was around the mid-1990s several years before Kelly Holder took over.
It could have been 1995, Mount Airy & North Stokes went 6-7 that year but in the conference, NS went 4-3 & MA went 3-4, also in 1982 & 1983 North Stokes had no team according to where I found this Info.
But bet The Bear Historian can give more accurate History.

Correct! NS was coached by Kurt Martin and MA by Dave Diamont. North went on to win their first ever playoff game and lost second round to Jordan Matthews.

MA has several good backs and should use them in this game. Don't chance getting your stud hurt unless you need him.

No, it's my understanding that if a team does not field a JV team, then the JV player who plays up on Friday does not use his quarters toward 8 quarter rule

To answer the question...yes the 8qtr still applies IF the JV plays the same week. If there is no JV game then you don’t have to use your 8qtrs. It doesn’t matter how few JV games are played. If they play on Thursday, then dress on Friday then they use quarters If they get in the game on Friday night.

Bears played a determined team in 2nd half last week at Reidsville & Bears got knocked back; gotta pick themselves back up this week against a team they’ve had their way with over the years; can’t just show up, Vikings not playing bad football right now...

Vikings are playing competitive football against teams they can be competitive against--all they can ask--MA might not be playing to the level some desire but MA has a good team and they are still MA
