NORTH SURRY vs WEST STANLY

West Stanly beat South Stanly in week one and South will be in the lower tier of the Yadkin Valley Conference this year. They beat Albemarle who is down this year for the first time in nine years 6-0. The do have a pretty good running back and they play hard but North Surry should be favored in this one.The lost to North Stanly and West Montgomery and gave up over 40 points to both.
North beat West Stanley 13 to 7. I wasn't able to make the trip but I heard it poured rain the whole time. I also heard Norths D dominated the game and the only first downs the colts got where mostly because of bad calls.
The Greyhounds would have scored 45 easily if it had not been raining. You better watch what you ask for when you say bring on the Wildcats. What is your prediction in this game? I'll say Wildcats 26 Puppys 6

I went to it of course ESC it was a good ride. At least 2.5 hrs to and back from there but it was an enjoyable trip. Got to see Davidson county and Rowan/Stanly county well. Seen East Rowan and the other Stanly schools for the first time, not bad.
As for the game the rain hurt us more than West Stanly did overall. It was fine until about 7 and didn't quit minus a short break at halfitme. It's a shame because if it stayed clear it wouldn't have been so sloppy. Nice looking stadium and I loved how you can literally walk onto the field from the fieldhouse. Wish more places around here did that.
West was so determined to play and I can see why they figured the rain would slow us down and to a point it did but it hurt them twice as much. We could have probably gotten 40+ on offense if it wasn't raining but to win the way we did was just as rewarding. That RB they had couldn't do anything as we were relentless twords him and the QB (whoever it was,) the rain didn't help either. Their first play we tackled the RB for a solid loss and that set the tone early when we needed to. We played with a ton of heart and it was a fun watch. We got plenty of room for improvement as does all teams but that was a fun end to the first half of the year. Next year's game at North should be as good. But props to West that RB is a tough kid to take the hits we delivered, get up, and go back in after he was hurt that earned my respect. Their coach is doing a fine job there too.

i have heard that West Stokes QB i think his name is Alex Manly has his throwing arm in a sling from this past weeks game. anyone know if this is true and exactly what happen. I hope he is healthy for next weeks game but if he is out it will really hurt West he is a heck of a player.
That would be a tough loss going into the conference games. In football your just one play away from losing a good player. I think the backup is pretty good. We'll see.
They do have a good back up but I think he has been their best receiver up to this point. One thing I know West will be ready to play. I have north 33 to 20.
