The story of the game was Page playing tough, physical and setting the tone against a NW team that has the tools to put up a lot of points. Page was able to get big chunks of yards rushing the ball up the middle all night. Trevon Hester carried the ball 28 times for 240 yards and 3 TDs. Chipping in with another 80 yards from Jaleel Strader, and both QBs had 60 yards rushing total. Page controlled both sides of the line and that OL is really starting to gel and look nasty. Huge hats off to coach Robertson and Co. its very nice to see players develop out of no where and contribute. Early on NW was able to move the ball quite well, but Page put the clamps down and started putting pressure on the Vikings sophomore QB when they got down and abandoned the run altogether. Page was able to pick him off twice which proved to be momentum swings. If i heard right, NW had 3 total offensive snaps in the 3rd quarter. Page was able to sustain long drives where they fed the workhorse Hester capped off by TDs. The time of possession stat was very lopsided.
