Either way..EW gets great joy beating them and vice versa....i wish all the kids great luck and success..no insults to the kids at all...just the grown folks..that didnt see a problem..with EW 6 best players and one of Starmounts best players in '03 forming the all star team and transferring..Lakeman.not sure who you pull for..but you have no pulse..if the same thing would have happened against the team you support..im sure you would be like oh well..they followed the rules....of course die hard fans got agitated at it....It's kind of the reason that Lebron will never get the respect that Kobe garners..

Lol..what you plan on doin about it...im pretty much done jivin with you on it...if youre seekin to win with me..fall back my man...good luck to the cards and elks..and to whomever you jock ride on waterboy..i mean Lakeman...just get the Elks the support they need at their middle school system..so pretenders can stay in their lane..not bounce from school to school because you dont have a program..bye bye.

Good luck to the Robinson kid. He will ultimately be a gamechanger at Elkin..he shoulda stayed with the Cards though...Lol...He looked like the real deal at EWMS last year..I saw him play twice..and yep..i thought he was gonna be a Cardinal..but the grass always seems greener at good ole Elkin..lol

Again, if you don't want to be called out for whining, simply keep it to yourself. There are reasons why kids attend Elkin and not your school. And as you have finally admitted, it's perfectly legit.

LOL..bottom line..if you live in Ronda..you should go to..you guessed it East Wilkes...if you live in Elkin city limits where should you go...you guessed it Elkin..if you live in Jonesville where should you go....You guessed it Starmount...yes there are a few provisions..maybe your parent teaches there or what not ..What are the reasons that others would go..other than the 03 team chasing rings..and yeah who wouldn't have wanted to play for Grissom..Lakeman who is your team..you're running that fat mouf defending them so...you mentioned a month or so of how you wasn't a fan...but i see you're a fanatic Elk..LOL..Go ahead get your last pluck in..I like entertaining a clown.

Great game last year..on the come back against EW..other than that we have beaten the Elks by more than 100 pts the last 2 ball games..im good. Without Grissom..i dont see why anyone outside of Elkin city limits would go there.

I've stated before and I'll state it again. In this area where I have lived before, I'm a Starmount fan. Sure, kids leaving to go to Starmount and East Wilkes have hurt both programs. The deal is that kids from Starmount and Ronda have the opportunity to attend Elkin. I don't whine about it because I care about all kids and I don't insult them or their parents for heading to Elkin. These kids are not property. They are not beholden to Starmount or that school in Ronda.

I disagree that kids from Ronda should automatically attend East Wilkes and the kids from Boonville should attend Starmount. These kids and their parents must make the right decision on where they should attend and should not be beholden to their location.

I respectfully disagree. 6 players leave at one time..i def disagree with your opinion. Yes they chased rings and they got them..i assure you there were some hard feelings and animosity between the kids and the parents..nothing wrong with that..win at all cost..right??

Keep kidding yourself that they all go for academics..When it's all said and done..EW and Elkin graduates.end up having pretty much the same opportunities for success after highschool. It's cats like you that are condescending and talking down on the kids that choose to stay at EW..I graduated from there and have had great opportunities in life as have hundreds of others and it didnt take me moving to Elkin city schools to achieve that.

Btw..Elkin has like 200 kids..greater chance of having higher avg scores with less students..Elkin is and has been a great school of academics..however most of the athletes that have left Starmount and EW for Elkin..have the same type jobs as those that stayed at their respective schools..trust me..some of them have worked for me. I work with guys like you.they went through the Elkin school system..they constantly ridicule EW and Wilkes county period..I am blessed to hold a college degree..and at the end of the day..I laugh at them..because they work for me. The stolen kid statement and the back to their old tactics statement were half hearted jokes..I know as long as the schools stay in close proximity of each other that it's bound to happen..but you got serious..so did I.

You are entitled to your opinion but not to your own facts. Elkin’s 2017 ADM was 379, nearly twice your number of 200. East Wilkes’ ADM was 540.

The question is not about Elkin’s stellar academic record but instead the question is why East Wilkes, with only 540 kids, did so poorly.

I don’t blame the parents for wanting a good education. Maybe these rings are not their biggest concern?

Maybe said kids didnt apply themselves..i had no problem at Ew..i would have had no problem at Elkin. Bottom line there are just as many opportunities at EW and Starmount as there are at Elkin if said student chooses to apply himself once they're enrolled.

Elkin has a great academic record no doubting that..too bad so many of the people that went there tend to have their heads so high in the clouds.and their noses so stuck in the sky...that they may drown if it rains..and kind of like yourself..look down on others who received a good education from a Wilkes county school.

Yes, Elkin offers a good academic opportunity for all kids. No doubt about that! If it makes you feel better by insulting Elkin kids by saying their "noses so stuck in the sky", go ahead. The fact remains that East Wilkes has not performed as well as Elkin in the classroom.

I agree. I’m excited for the season to start. Joraye Morrison from WC is someone who I’m especially excited to see after his freshman year. Kid is just a beast.

Ive named kids already from EW..name a few from Elkin Lakeman..btw not insulting Elkin kids..hopefully they dont turn out like the grown folk..like i said..a few of those academically gifted Elks work for me and when they start laughing about wilkes..im the one laughing at them.

In my preview, the coaches have picked Wilkes Central, East Surry, and West Stokes to win their respective conferences.

JoRaye Morrison - WC
Donavon Greene - MA
Chase Swartz - N Surry

Are pre-season POY for the conferences (selected by the coaches)

Pilot cards are gonna be real good , not surprising to me print. There hang up year in and year out is they ain’t a playoff team, maybe that changes with new coach. I don’t see them beating the bears but we shall see
