It’s really funny with the greater presses reaction to the events. Apparently nothing happened, nothing was destroyed, and it was a failurewatch the press briefing from the Secretary of Defense and General Cain. It was quite astounding.
I’m gonna go with not as wildly successful as Trump is saying, but it damn sure set Iran back more than the couple of months some media sources are claiming. It’s really funny with the greater presses reaction to the events. Apparently nothing happened, nothing was destroyed, and it was a failure
Who is saying this? Where did you watch/read it?Apparently nothing happened, nothing was destroyed, and it was a failure
I beg to differ with his statement, "Pres Trump directed the most complex and secretive military operation in history"
By all accounts the Iran operation was a great success. But this operation is dwarfed by D-Day in the number of countries, soldiers, ships, aircraft, supplies, involved. There's no comparison in keeping all of that secret
I don't think the War Powers Act is necessarily in play for a single strike like this, although I'm not 100% sure on that. I think it's in dispute whether it is or not - probably depends what side of the aisle you sit on.Such a typical reaction by the admin and the press. Caine said Sunday morning it would take time to assess the damage, but Trump claimed Iran's nuclear program was decimated. Now anyone claiming their program might still exist is lying, and "leakers" are being rooted out.
I mean, clearly the mission was a success, so why is it so hard to wait on the full assessment?
Meanwhile, the Admin may finally brief Congress today, which was supposed to be done within 48 hours under the War Powers Act.
You mean the truth is in the middle? <shocked face>I’m gonna go with not as wildly successful as Trump is saying, but it damn sure set Iran back more than the couple of months some media sources are claiming.
Or your opinion of the Constitution. This is certainly one area where Trump is not unique in taking liberty with executive power. There is a lot of precedent…and I’m not saying it was wrong. So far it sounds like the intel was good and legit stuff got hammered.I don't think the War Powers Act is necessarily in play for a single strike like this, although I'm not 100% sure on that. Watched that last night. Being crammed on a boat with thousands of other people isn’t something I’d subject myself to in the first place. Definitely never going on a cruise after watching that..Netflix's Poop Cruise.
Namely, Natasha Bertrand at CNN, who also was the first to publish the claim that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinfo.Who is saying this? Where did you watch/read it?
The time to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities is years before they are an “imminent threat.” Waiting till then would be monumentally stupid and risky.Gabbard testified that there wasnt an imminent threat.
Trump gave 60 days to negotiate, a meeting was set for day 62(i think?), and suddenly Iran is an imminent threat.
Meanwhile, Gabbard has lied to often that I cant figure out if I should trust what she said in testimony, or if that was BS.
Meanwhile, Trump lies so frequently that I cant figure out if I should trust what he said about why it had to happen right away or how successful it was, or if that was BS.
Not being able to sort out truth from total lies makes it really 17ing tough to come to a genuinely informed conclusion. It sucks.
Maybe Iran's program is totally destroyed. Maybe its set back a few months. Maybe Iran was an imminent threat. Maybe Iran wasnt close to being a threat and that is a lie being told to just strike when they were at a conveniently weak point in time.
I just hold my hands up in confusion and wish it could be more clear.

Yeah, that could definitely be an approach to take. It would mean knowing for sure that there was intent to make a nuclear weapon though. If you dont know that, then you are just bombing a country based on a gut feeling or based on intel from a heavily biased quasi-ally.The time to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities is years before they are an “imminent threat.” Waiting till then would be monumentally stupid and risky.
(American Intel) “continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003.”
All of your networks, they speak in unison with the same talking pointsWho is saying this? Where did you watch/read it?
They were absolutely enriching uranium. Which has only one use.Yeah, that could definitely be an approach to take. What Gabbard said was that American Intelligence says Iran was not building a nuclear weapon. That is what I was referring to when I said it is difficult to know who to believe, who is lying, etc.
I expect information that can be shared will be clear, consistent, and truthful from every Administration.
Good job parroting the leader and supporting his self-aggrandizing regardless of how ridiculous it is. I can’t wait to see our “Secretary of War” sailing the “Gulf of America” soon…Bottom line, with the USA involved, the "12 Day War" ended. Success for now!
