What sport "stinks" and how is that Scott Stricklin's fault?

-Excellent in baseball
-2nd best run in football in any of our lifetimes
-Rebuilding in women's basketball(new coach) with no reason for pessimism
-Rebuilding in men's basketball(new coach)
-Improved in softball(2nd yr coach) that is recuilding
-Excellent in men's tennis
-Fired coaches in a couple other sports for sucking
-Great new coach in men's track

If anything, Stricklin's been excellent hiring coaches. The only one that wasn't a surefire homerun was Ray. Schaefer and Stuedeman were homerun hires that people doubted that we could pull...until we did.

I'm just going to keep bumping this one, as more and more new evidence shows just how ridiculous this thread was, since we've hired/are hiring overachievers in almost every sport, even those that are not revenue-producing. Just another example here:

Pieters joins the Lady Bulldogs from Hazyview, Mpumalanga, South Africa, and is a top three talent in the 2013 class.
Ranked 76th in the world by the Polo Jr. Golf Rankings, Baik was one of the more sought after recruits in the 2013 class.

All atheletes usually stink. I'd say the least stinky would be cheerleading and pom squad. Just because they don't sweat as much as softball, basketball, football and baseball players. Plus, most of those girls put make up and perfume on (like most girls do)so it obviously makes them smell alot less stinky. Golfers most likely omit less stink too, but comparing them to football players is apples and oranges. Soccer players might pass the sniff test after a game in the spring or fall (don't know when season is) but a summer game might cause a bit of odor.

men's and women's track and field. I agree about all the gimmicks though...most have failed so far.

How so?

Scott Stricklin has given us our two greatest fundraising years in the history of the school and athletics department. We've raised $70 mil in private athletics donations in the previous two years, both of which MORE than double any previous amount.

While a direct correlation can't be made between his methods and money raised, they can't be directly dismissed either.
