Nice fight back by the Yankees tonight and wow, what a game by AJ. I still see no way they advance out of the series.
Schneider with the next level, Aaron Boone game management strategy tonight.

Team showed a ton of heart tonight in the do or die. Looked horrible but the put their head down and grinded like hell

Great win. We live to play tomorrow!

I’ll never understand why they don’t put Vlad on his ***. He needs one hard and inside.
I texted my buddy after they intentionally walked Vlad that I would have sent him to first base but only after we drilled or brushed him back with purpose. Guy is way to comfortable in the box.

This Yankees team also needs a little nasty streak.

Regardless of how things end up this season, I am very happy to see this team continue to put up a good fight. With just a little bit better pitching this year, this team could have been historically great. I was happy to see Judge hit the HR last night just to finally shut up the stupid talking heads...he is an all time talent and seems to be a good guy on top of it, but people in the media just like to find stupid things to talk about. And the MVP race should be a no brainer, but I'm sure it will be close just because he is a Yankee.

On another note...I despise listening to Smoltz and the guy with him. Smoltz never shuts up, and the other guy is just annoying with his constant yelling any time anything happens. I dare say listening to Jim Palmer may be better than Smoltz. These national networks are missing out on good talent like Paul O'Neill.

My main wish (other than another NYY win tonight) is that one of the Yankee pitchers will have the stones to drill Vlad and knock him on his ***. I told my wife last night that CC or Clemens would have taken care of him in game one.

Let's go Yankees!!

If Yanks had Cole this year, they would have the best record in the majors.

In the Statcast era (since 2008), no ball pitched at 100 mph and a foot inside had been hit for a homerun.

Until Judge did it last night.

Judge can do things that nobody else is capable of. Just a ridiculous talent and the best overall hitter of this generation

Who's the white guy in the Yanks dugout with a beard? Did not recognize him.

Someone on Twitter said the announcers' voices got noticeably subdued once the Yankees took the lead.

You've last your mind. lol Jim Palmer is the worst in the history of MLB announcing. He's insufferable. He's a pure Yankees hater. I don't hear that in anything that Smotlz says. He seems to be pretty neutral if not a little more tilted for they Yankees.

If the Yankess did more situational hitting and had a decent bullpen they would be OK despite the starting pitching totation losses.

And we lost a few games when Boone "rested" players. that's on Boone.

Stanton needs to hit a homerun tonight.

And I think he will.
I started a post on Stanton and then decided to erase it. He spit on some pitches last night that he normally wildly swings at. And when he starts spitting on those pitches one of his torrid streaks usually starts immediately

I'm not going to type what I am thinking....don't want to jinx it LOL

HaHa...You are correct, Palmer is horrible. But the way Smoltz over-analyzes every, single, freaking, pitch drives me insane. I cannot stand listening to him. The big networks announcers in general suck, but I think he is the worst.

I don't know why but the current announcers are easy for me to tone out. I barely notice them, unlike other announcers. David Cone is the one that gets on my nerves, just constant chattering about spin rate and all these weird analytics nobody gives a **** about. He's a statistical freak and very annoying to me. I'll try to pay more attention to Smotlz tonight to see what you mean.

Rice is not in tonight's lineup. I think Boone is giving him a day of rest so he'll be ready for Friday's game. lol

Offseason: sign Bellinger. Add bullpen help. Not sure of Cabellero contract but they’ll push to resign him if it’s up

They’ll let Grisham walk because he’s gonna get overpaid. They’ll let Goldie go as well

Good on The Martian. Been sitting mostly for a month and comes in to get a pinch hit double to lead off the 9th

That’s a couple of times in the last month he’s showed up ready to hit as a pinch hitter. And that’s not easy. Especially for a 22 year old kid

Fitting end to season. Team never looked legit vs quality competition. I never believed in pitching staff and they proved it the last week. Elite pitching against Boston’s AAA roster last week was like believin in some dotcom companies in 2001.

Schlittler pitched a good game last night. I believe he may be legit. Without the Jazz error there may have been a different outcome. Anyway the off season should be interesting and even though I won't watch much baseball the rest of this year, I do hope someone knocks the Jays off.

I've got to dwell on this for a while. I have some ideas for the pitching staff but I have to get the anger and disappointment out of me over this season ending before I can really get into next year.

Yep, baseball is over for me. See my avatar change? lol Colts are a surprising 4-1 and should be 5-0.

As for the series with Toronto. You see what happens when a team, the Yankees, who rely on home runs to win, get into a series where they are not hitting home runs and the other team, all 9 in the lineup, are contact hitters. Toronto is impressive and I hate them, especially now after all the crap they talked after the game last night and on social media. Geesh guys, win with a little class.
