Oak Grove at North Davidson

OG with a nice drive grounding and pounding but stopped at the ND 24. Field goal is good. 9-0 OG with 3:55 in the half
A healthy dose of X running and pass interference gets ND down to the OG 30 yard line with a minute in the half
North driving. First down at the OG 35 after personal foul. Next play TD pass. 16-14 OG with 6:11 remaining
It was an exciting game. Creech had a couple of incredible individual efforts.
1) The play where he avoided the sack, doubled back and threw running to his right for the long pass that went down to the 1. The score was still 9-7 at that point, and the ball was fumbled at the 1 and nearly went into the endzone before going out of bounds. It was a yard from being a touchback and ND possession. That could have turned the whole game.
2) The other was of course the touchdown run on 3rd and long in the 4th qtr. ND had him dead to rights at the line of scrimmage and then seemed to have him again just past the chains. How in the world he stayed on his feet and managed to get away, I don't know. I can't wait to see that one on his Hudl highlights.

Sounds like a good game. ND has work to do to make the playoffs. The Ledford-ND game will be huge.
I’m so happy for OG. Congratulations well deserved. I was at the jamboree that OG went to and stood behind were the ND coaching staff was scouting from. Towards the end the ND coaches stood up and said “let’s go these fu***ing kids suck”, well guess last night the ND kids sucked worse.

I thought both teams played well. Unfortunately, I am not surprised to hear that coming from a few of the ones on that staff.
OG should win out. Their D line and linebackers will give Ledford and Central big problems. And as much as opposing student sections like to chant at Creech he is clutch and makes plays when he absolutely needs to.
I thought it was a good game that came down to a few plays and OG made them count. North O moved the ball but missed out on points on a few possessions going for it on fourth down in the red zone. Credit OGs D for that.
Lots of work to do for North. Especially on defense. Need to win out at this point.
