Furfari . . . . . . . I don’t drive anymore, but I ride through the daily traffic jams and they’re horrible in Morgantown. Now word (or rumor) is that my Alma Mater of WVU is thinking about expanding to 50,000 students. In my firm opinion, the fore fathers should have set a limit of 15,000 students as a maximum. Let's deny tens of thousands of students a great affordable college education so this little man doesn't have to wait in traffic. Think small and be small. . . . . . . . Oliver Luck, in my opinion the most damaging athletic director in school history, fired Coach Turnbull before taking a job with the NCAA a year or so ago. Luck hired a great wrestling coach who just recruited one of the best classes in the country. If Furfari cared at all about providing WVU's student athletes with the best facilities, best competition, and the best coaches possible he wouldn't have second guessed Luck. Turnbull was leading the program in the wrong direction and every one knew it. Furfari just made a complete *** of himself by defending his close buddy. . . . . . . . . I think it’s time for Marshall to be an early-season part of West Virginia’s football schedule annually. Where are the games going to be played and how much money will WVU not make by playing a series with Marshall? This man is clueless. . . . . . . . . He turned out championship caliber football teams out of Conference USA the past two years. And I hear that the Thundering Herd will be pretty good again this year. Don’t be surprised if Doc Holliday gets back to WVU as head football coach one of these days. I am not surprised that Furfari likes CUSA and his friend Holliday ( who now interviews for just about every power conference head coaching job that becomes available and is never hired ). Furfari likes everything about Marshall including the size of their University. http://www.register-herald.com/sports/sports_columns/a-column-of-odds-and-ends-about-west-virginia-university/article_198b3705-42c9-505c-ba43-1469efb6e6ae.html Mean-spirited, bitter, untruthful, and delusional.
