It was apparent on the first drive that when Iowa State is selling out against the run, we can't run the TB. We'll either have to run the QB (get an extra blocker) or play-action pass to the flat.

When people complain about Holgorsen's poor decision-making and game management, that decision to go on 4th is exactly what they're talking about. He ignored everything that was happening in the game.

Exactly.

If you're the better team you don't take that risk.... ...and even if you do.....don't play into their game plan.

I agree in a game like this I would've tried to flip the field.

That was the craziest drive I've seen in a long time. I was hoping for a miss on the fg attempt so it was all for nothing

This game is going to come down to the wire. ISU has nothing to lose and they are playing all out. Plus our offense is playing terrible.

If I felt that WV football was merely Dana's clown shown............I promise you I would not watch the games. That much I can promise.

That last possession was an absolute embarrassment. I've never seen a team get burned by fake punts twice on one drive in my life.

I can't decide which was worse: The fakes themselves or how easily Rhoads outmaneuvered Holgorsen. Both Cyclone FGs were the direct result of coaching.

Right now this looks frighteningly like a game ripe for an upset.

And didn't we use 2 timeouts during that drive?

We probably deserve to have Iowa State take first possession of 2nd half down the field for a TD. If there was more time left in first half Iowa State would have scored a TD on that last drive ... on a fake FG.

Clown show.

At halftime in the roundball game with San Diego...................I thought WV might get whipped by the Aztecs. The Mountaineers will score at least three TD's in the 2nd half and get the fans a W. Dusty Rhodes will fly the Cyclones home ...........licking their wounds.

Seriously, how can take your eyes off this team? If you didn't watch, then where else are you going to see a team turn 2 fake punts into first downs on the same drive? Miss this team and you'll miss seeing something you'll never see anywhere else.

If nothing else, Dana's clown show is must-see TV.

Yes. The really bad TO was the one he took before the first fake. I think it was at 2:11 remaining.

With 4th and 2, us likely to get the ball in poor field position even if they did punt, and virtually nothing working offensively, a smart coach lets the clock roll there and tries to go into the half up 2 possessions at home.

Now you know why somebody is losing his job.

....and our defense on those fake punts was fine.

...and I'm not a DH lover either.
